Offensive Line

I saw 2 60ish year old guys (ISU fans) almost get in a fight at the game. I was embarrassed for both of them. Oh and it was right by one of the camera operators, I was hoping he was going to pan to it.
I didn’t go, but we wouldnt have been able to see because there were 2 guys who kept standing up and blocking the TV. One guy raised his arms and literally blocked the play on tv.

Was it about the importance of bowl games?

They have a new D coordinator that was put in place late November, they had no film on them

Spoke to a friend who was at game he was talking to Memphis fan who was also high school coach. He said they were running sets they had not shown all season.

At halftime CMC said that very same thing during his interview with Harklau.

I will give We Will $2000 to watch Sama break your ankles (if you can even get within 3 yards of him).

I strained my hamstring running at a moderate pace in a straight line last summer.

Just trying to imagine tackling about any D1 RB in space makes the hammy ache.

How many times was Rocco or Sama hit 5 yards deep?
A bunch, they were run blitzing most of the game, and instead of looking to throw a quick pass, we kept trying to run the ball, really true on first down. I would say that ISU ran the ball on 1st and 10 around 90% of the time this season. The staff really needs to look at their play calling trends and go against them. We had no play action passes to slow down the rush, tried a couple of screens, but really not a whole lot of quick passes to back the defense up.

Offensive line is going to take a year or two to improve, this season was really for the coach to find out what he had, and how they can improve on it. It's going to take a while to get kids that can do what the new O line coach is asking them to do and its process that really cannot be sped up.

You on the other hand should be ashamed by such a bad troll job.
24 hours later and sober. I stand by what I said. Hawk troll? Absolutely not. Pecemist? Absolutely. This season was a great season based on our history. We're not gonna get much better than that. We don't have the coaching nor the talent to rise above our current situation. Still worlds better than Rhoades' average 2-5 win seasons. Again, not insinuating Campbell should be fired.

The screens they ran were TE in the middle of the blitzes. The screens or quick hitters should have been to the running backs to the outside.

It’s amazing what anonymity does for some people. I’d love to know ages of posters, I think I would be more compassionate if I knew a guy was 13
Yep, the combination of masking and first amendment rights brings out the best!

I have a strong feeling that this was all a disaster of 3 parts.

Part 1) We didn't change a single thing going into this game. Even the double pass was a play already called. Zero new plays or wrinkles.

Part 2) Jeff Meyers and Memphis had our offensive calls, or at least knowing run vs pass. They were ready for every single run play called all game.

Part 3) New defensive scheme. Rocco had next to no clue what he was looking at. We were guessing all game.

We aren't good enough to overcome this at all. Defense was a different disaster.

When they have a 3 score lead there's going to be a lot on the pass game. That said Rocco was having to create quite a bit and Higgens balled out.

Play of the game to me was the 3rd and 1 with Higgins faking slant and catching the shallow out for a 35+ yd td.

Can’t use the Fiesta Bowl excuse anymore, folks. Apparently bowl games are just exhibition games that don’t matter.
