*** Official Florida A&M vs IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

And just when I write that he does the best thing he has all season with that tip back.

He may have gotten in earlier, but even in a blowout this hasn't been our most stellar performance, and FAMU has some guys that can shoot. Last 5 minutes makes sense.

The rotation you're seeing prior to OB being subbed in will be our main rotation in B12 play. Get them the minutes and conditioning, as you said.

'But they can just do a bunch of killers at practice to get their conditioning! They're 20 year olds!'

-some CFers that don't recognize the difference between doing sprints and playing in a game.

I wonder why Watson doesn't get more minutes more than Omaha. I think Watson has a great body of work to build off of.

honestly think it has to do with ball handling and shooting, like he's probably an okay shooter, but not enough of a knockdown shooter.

Anyone who knows basketball, can just watch where Billew is looking and positioning when on D and know that he is a little lost most of the time. He is also not asserting himself on O, when he could cut to the basket he is either not doing it OR is a second of so late in doing it. He doesn't position against his man well on either end. I'm rooting for him, I just think the time before the season that he wasn't with the guys has set him behind. We'll see if that is true soon enough.

We understand game speed just fine. Some of us are just concerned about wearing down over the Big 12 grind and getting a needless injury on garbage time.

It's also games like this where you build confidence for guys you might need to count on at some point.

And it's probably not much more complicated than this.

Sure, game experience helps but if a guy has mental blocks or whatever, throwing him out there to get overwhelmed can have the opposite effect.

I'd probably actually think more about it with other staffs but imo this current one seems to be really good at communicating with players.

So what about all the teams that are playing tougher opponents this week that require full game minutes from the top 8?

How do you know Omaha would have gotten confidence?
