Time for a Real Discussion About Caitlin Clark

In the last couple years we've had Fran chase a ref down a tunnel and question the integrity of the game, players talk about refs by name to the media, Brian Ferentz berating referees and having to get "reprimanded", Parker grabbing his crotch by a ref, the Brands brothers acting like maniacs.
There's a leadership issue at Iowa, IMO. I feel like the new AD has the temperament to hopefully clean that up.
Can't even make it thru the weekend without Fran being a maniac.

As good as she is, she wouldn't be able to get a shot off against a mens team. I hate saying something like this, but it's true.
Don't feel bad, it's true, and crazy to think it. It's like saying Georgia football last year would beat the worst NFL team. There's absolutely no way a college team would beat the worst NFL team, but people say that stuff.

28 pts, 9 boards, and 5 assists in a 22 point win against Wisconsin today.
I understand that the Kohl Center was not sell out for Caitlin. Too bad for that record.

I must have missed it...How did Fran and the boys do against Michigan?

You haven't heard? Hok fans don't watch men's basketball anymore. They suddenly only care about women's hoops...that they've never cared about for the last 100 years and won't care about for another 100 after she's gone.

As good as she is, and she is great in the woman's game, she would never see the floor in a men's game. She would struggle with the larger ball; the speed of the defenders would overwhelm her. Now a game of horse or one on one, she would kick their ass, but otherwise, not seeing the floor.
Yeah just imagine Lipsey guarding her. She maybe able to get a deep 3 off but the difference in athleticism can’t be understated.

They always throw wrestling in there. Not sure why that would be added in besides it matters way more to Iowa than any other university in the world. It’s right there with Volleyball, and I follow wrestling but know it’s an also ran sport.

Of course they are going to throw wrestling in there because Iowa has and will continue to dominate Iowa State. Dresser has obviously changed the program but Iowa and Penn State are at a completely different level than the rest of the country. Iowa fans love letting ISU fans know how much better they are but it's not like Iowa State doesn't have a strong program.

Just throwing it out there:

C.C. will be a dud in the WNBA.

Talented? Yep.

But she won't have teammates in the WNBA who will appreciate her screaming at them. She won't have teammates who will let her take over half the team shots. She will be guarded a lot more closely and be pushed around a lot more in the WNBA, and the WNBA will not appreciate her flopping. I

Yep. I am no expert. Go after me if you want. We shall see in five or six years.

EIU fans throw it in because for over a decade, wrestling there was the gold standard for the sport, and it was a settle dig at ISU. How could we not hire Gable and let him get away, forgetting that ISU had a HOF coach already on board that wasn't ready to retire yet. They said the same thing about Sanderson, but that came back to bit them in the ass, while Cale was at ISU we never had the resources to commit to wrestling to get better than EIU just make it close, but at Penn State, lack of money was not a problem, and he has dominated the sport, much like Gable did.
They do the same thing with baseball, just another dig, damn well knowing that ISU no longer has the sport.
