If we now have the best coaching staff ISU has ever had, a couple of these guys will leave and win at least 1 Super Bowl. Jimmy Johnson was here under Johnny Majors, won at least 1 Super Bowl. Was there another coach that did that ? I don’t remember. But, I do think our current staff is very good.

I’ve heard Heacock is looking to retire in the next couple seasons. That’ll be a huge blow but I really like the LB coach. He could the next in line for that spot

As someone who has considered ministry in the past, I’d like to have a consult with ISUMFB team regarding biblical interpretation.
Trusting the Lord and leaning not on your own understanding would be staying with the team you’re committed to vs entering the unknown to explore other options.
But I’m just a guy. No judgment or ill will, just don’t love shoddy biblical quotes thrown around to justify personal decisions.

I looked this author up, John Donne, then looked up one of his last sermons/ writings, "Death's Duel". It seems like modern man has a limited diction philosophy comparatively. Wow! Imagine having to sit through that. I would need to break that down a paragraph at a time, and it would still be too much for me.

Not a scholarship player but noteworthy that we added a long snapper transfer from UNI yesterday. Not a bad idea considering we did have some issues this year.
Like how Campbell actually rewards walkons that play significantly with scholarships. That is how you get quality preferred walkons. You may get a player’s scholarship that entered the portal. In most cases because it did not work out for them.

Surges had offers to Army and Air Force plus other offers. He chose Iowa State…..to walk on. Deserves the scholly. And Bacon most definitely. Gamers.

I saw something on social media that Ryan Day is actively shopping himself for an NFL job, and players got wind of it.
Don't know the credibility of this person, so who knows.
His record is incredible...but is he a guy the NFL would look at? I have no idea...just asking. He doesn't seem innovative or inspiring. But he wins...and I get it...it is Ohio State but coaches have done worse there for sure. Maybe the pressure of that job is getting to him? I would stay there another year, lose to Michigan and get fired and enjoy that hefty payoff for getting canned after going 11-1/10-2!

I just can't see any NFL team wanting to hire a guy with no NFL experience who has probably underachieved with superior talent at the college level.
Why would he do that? It's Harbaugh that is shopping himself to the NFL every year. This year I think he'll take the Chargers job if/when it opens up. Then Day is in the driver seat of the B1G again.
