Texas is dead to me after this year. Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Texas, who cares?I hope they end up like Nebraska.

Agreed. Rhule is the real deal as a coach. I think people forget what a nightmare Baylor was when he took over that program and flipped it in three short seasons.I think he will make Nebraska successful, but that's a relative thing. Eight and four and a decent bowl game would be way better than they've been for years. I doubt they'll be contending for national championships. It'd be nice to see them beat Iowa once in a while.

He's a classic developmental coach, and I think he can turn them into a consistent winner a la what Wisconsin was under Bielema.
Unfortunately for Rhule, Nebby fans are completely delusional and that probably won't be good enough for them.
Their recruiting rankings have been typically top 20-25 so coaching is a big factor in that scenario.Baylor had unlimited resources and was surrounded by talent in Texas. While the Nebraska athletic department isn’t poor, I don’t think their donors will fork over the dollars like they did at Baylor to buy recruits. And, more importantly, there’s very little local talent at Nebraska.
Tommy Frazier ain’t walking through that door.
I assume they’ll keep him this year. There aren’t going to be any jobs that open up big enough for him to jump (I’d think).Arizona keeps on rolling.
At this point they are the best team in next year’s 16 team lineup. Sorry Utah, they’ve looked clearly better.
Will be interesting if they can keep coach.
They will be picked preseason top 2-3 but Utah will be the preseason favorite with Cam Rising coming back.I assume they’ll keep him this year. There aren’t going to be any jobs that open up big enough for him to jump (I’d think).
I expect Michigan to open up, but I think they’ll hire Moore
Well, guess they gotta do something but it seems not the greatest right nowWSU and OSU pay $14M to play the Mountain West. It's a scheduling pact, with no opportunity for a trophy.
AP Story
Yeah, I know the source, but it’s all in good fun:
The PAC has plenty of openings. Not a chance there are enough votes, there aren’t enough landing spots for the non top 2-3 teams.
Cal blog attempts to sort through the ACC contract. They aren’t sure who has voting rights at the moment but assume that it would require 9-12 schools to vote to dissolve. Difficult. Not a chance there are enough votes, there aren’t enough landing spots for the non top 2-3 teams.

Seems to be more buzz about Acc schools to the big 12. Are they all hearing this from mhver?
Yeah, Locked On is garbage. They gleefully projected ISU would be 0-12 this season with a clueless thirst trap as their ISU "expert."I haven't heard their latest reports, but I don't take these guys seriously.
They've been peddling OSU and WSU to the Big 12 conspiracy theories too for months despite credible folks shooting it down again and again.
