And he improved a lot more once he got some NFL level coaching, both before and after the draft. I recall a story last year about all the work he got at some QB whisperer/consultant. His footwork and throwing motion improved and added 5mph to his throws - that's a TON.We all watched Brock Purdy play four years. We all love Brock. But to say he was technically consistent, especially early in his career here, just isn't true. He improved a great deal in making his progressions and footwork, and accuracy of his deeper throws from when he started.
The reason I remember this is we all b!tched about how QBs regressed under Manning, and this article was seen as some proof that the program wasn't developing QBs well.

So is Rocco Brock yet? No. Could he become Brock-good? It's possible, but that is a hell of a high bar to measure against. But I wouldn't bet against Rocco, despite that high bar.
