Must have a QB they are comfortable with.

Went to school at NW so I have a lot of connections up there, they haven’t been in contact with Dekkers at all. Pretty sure the closest he’s gotten to school there is a party in Orange City. They should be pretty set at QB at least for the next couple years anyways

People who haven’t been to Texas don’t realize how big Texas is. Years ago I took a road trip down to San Antonio to cover a D-III football game. Driving down I-35, through Kansas City, through Wichita, through Oklahoma City … the Oklahoma/Texas border was still only about halfway to San Antonio.

(Okay, I’m exaggerating a little - but it is just about exactly halfway between KC and San Antonio)

I used to teach at Taco Tech. Lubbock is a long way from ANYTHING. 5 hours to OKC is your closest touch to civilization, unless you count the similarly-sized and similarly-boring Amarillo just 2 hours north. The people in Lubbock are friendly enough but it might be the most boring quarter-million-sized city in the United States.

When my uncle lived in Brownsville Tx, he always said when he got to Dallas on his way home, he was halfway here. It takes us 11 to 12 hours to drive to Dallas from Bloomfield to visit our son, depending on traffic in Oklahoma City and Dallas, that is driving around 75 to 80 mph.

My grandparents used to winter down by there and they drove from NW IA. When they hit the Texas Oklahoma line they were only half way there.
