Transfer Portal Tracker

“We’re getting there,” Sanders said. “We definitely need giving. You know what I mean? It’s unfortunate to say this, but some kids cost. It’s unfortunate to say this and I have not charted this yet, but I’m gonna ask for the numbers.

“If you start thinking about the top several teams in the country, let’s see what was spent on assembling the teams. We can sit and talk about great coaching and great this and great that all we want. But it’s a credit card swipe some kind of way with all these guys going into the playoffs, right? I understand that.”

-Coach Prime

Recap,

We are all looking for the best team money can buy! And I need more money!
you know what will be great is when coaches like Prime beg, plead and demand a huge pot of money for coaches, recruiting and buying players......and they end up .500 over the next few years.
The money finds a way to dry up at some point. Unless you are in oil rich southern states where handing out 10 million is "just another Saturday".

Also Lubbock and El Paso are not even close to each other.

People who haven’t been to Texas don’t realize how big Texas is. Years ago I took a road trip down to San Antonio to cover a D-III football game. Driving down I-35, through Kansas City, through Wichita, through Oklahoma City … the Oklahoma/Texas border was still only about halfway to San Antonio.

(Okay, I’m exaggerating a little - but it is just about exactly halfway between KC and San Antonio)

Is there any recourse we can do or penalty for the schools/NIL for tampering with our student athletes in season?
Nothing that would do any good. We can scream about it, if we want, but it's not going to do anything. Not to mention, it's not like we're completely innocent, here. For example, during during basketball transfer season, coaches are in the know about certain kids becoming available before they hit the transfer portal, so there's contact there. Is it tampering? Maybe, maybe not, but as tempting as it might be, nobody really wants to kick over the rock, for fear of the creepy crawlies that might be exposed in their own back yard.

This is simply the way things work now.
