I think margin will be a little less but same points. Michigan doesn't have any need to try to run it up like last time. They'll be lock up the 2 seed with a win and 1 seed with Georgia loss regardless of how much they win by. There was a lot more motivation last time. I think 23-3. Hawks miraculously cover.38-3 is my guess.
That was a fun game. Felt like Iowa State was better tbh. Kansas state at least had to work to score and if Iowa State holds on to a couple picks it looks a lot worse. Solid victoryAs a Hawkeye fan... you may not have made it through watching it... your heart may have exploded. WAY too much excitement in that game for a Hawkeye fan... they wouldn't have even recognized it.
I figured the spread would be in the 28 neighborhood myself. With this line they are thinking Michigan wins something like 29-6. I feel it will be worse than that. When I checked this morning (11/27) Iowa was a 23 point dog to Michigan and an O/U of 35. I'm really struggling to see how Iowa's offense scores anything. I think their defense and special teams are absolutely capable of creating points off of a turnover, but beyond that it's going to be a real struggle for the Hawks to keep up with Michigan. I guess at the end of the day, they can hang their hats on the fact they won the B1G West which had a total of 3 teams with winning records. Truly astounding.
Not a bad idea, but Iowa/ISU wouldn't even be a blip on the radar for most non-fans during rivalry week. Not that it is a huge national game in week two or three either, but I don't think moving it would make any impact at all. This is the fault of both schools, but after seeing Rivalry Week, I just don't get why we play in September. There had to be about 20 in-state rivalry games over the weekend. I know of SC, FL, GA, NC, AL, MS, KY, TN, AZ, CA, WA, OR, TX, IL, IN, VA. No doubt they figure in Iowa the host school and town would not see the financial impact (tailgaters, etc.). But otherwise it would just be great to be part of that. Play it on Friday just like the Hawks are used to anyway and there are fewer games to compete with. To me, our game gets lost in September because not much really matters yet to most college football fans.
Maybe. I just think at least it would be seen as a rivalry. Outside their own fans, Iowa / Nebraska is just another conference game. Shoot, I know a lot of fans that don't consider them rivals. Can't stand each other, but not rivals. Not a bad idea, but Iowa/ISU wouldn't even be a blip on the radar for most non-fans during rivalry week. Kirk said he had no idea where his son Brian lived. Kirk said he didn't know his best friend, Mr. Doyle, was a major racist. Kirk thinks his son Brian is a good offensive coordinator. Do you need more evidence that Kirk either blatantly lies or is a moron?“We got screwed”, Kirk Ferentz!!
Bold to assume they can muster a field goal.37-3
Iowa’s FG comes early. It will be something around 17-3 at half.
It was a couple seasons ago, but I consider this a rubber match. Iowa will be better prepared this time. On paper they should get destroyed, but games aren't played on paper. I expect a nail biter for at least 3 quarters. I can see it now: McCarthy gets injured early and Iowa wins 10-3 with a field goal and something wacky like a pick 6 or kick return.

Whether anyone considers it a rivalry or not, I don't think I would be in favor of having the last game of the season be an OOC game. I would want it to be a conference game whether that was Nebraska or any other Big 10 member for that matter.Maybe. I just think at least it would be seen as a rivalry. Pain!! Lots of pain and anguish for Iowa. I hope Harbaugh keeps the gas pedal floored the entire game. What's your score prediction?
I initially also thought Michigan was the better matchup for Iowa, but now I'm not so sure on that. JJ McCarthy is a lot better than that doorknob tOSU has at QB.
