F*CK IOWA

Buddy, im not just talking about the ones over the last 3-4 years. Look at the Brad Banks. Dude would have been an NFL draft pick had he gone anywhere else. Stanzi, Stanley, Vandenburg. All played in the system, and all regressed. Some more than others of course, but UI has a big problem developing QB's

Word was that Banks wasn't great at reading defenses and he didn't have to with such a good run game and Dwight Clark on the other side of play action.

It is ******* awesome that Hawk fans have another week and a half to dwell on nothing but this. It's like God's gift to us for some of the **** that usually happens to us.

If they win out, they will absolutely say forever (literally forever) that they were robbed a playoff spot. Drink those tears until the day you die.

Sorry, my hatred for the Hawks is very intense:)
But they WERE robbed!!!!

From what I have heard in the past around my UI friends circle, books may have been difficult for him as well

Banks finished 2nd in the Heisman voting at Iowa, I'm sure NFL guys were paying attention. Banks was very mobile and had decent accuracy on short/mid-range passes. I don't think he had the downfield passing capabilities to do much in the NFL. He also benefited from playing behind the best Iowa OL in my lifetime.

Actually a super good point

While I think most of college football fans have moved on and are looking forward to the games this weekend, since Iowa doesn’t have a game Hawkeye fans are still whining. The latest is “I’m so tired of them calling things because they’re being technically right! Why do they have to call things against us? They should have just let this go!”

Dang, I would think Iowa state fans would at least understand what it is like to have a correct call go against you and still feel like youre getting screwed. EX. Iowa State vs Texas when we stripped them twice on the goal line and the refs called it forward progress in like 2013
The refs didn't call forward progress on that play. That would have been defensible. The call on the field was down by contact which you could see on review was not the case. It should have been overturned with ISU possession.

Good God. Are we in for another off-season of delusional hype over Cade from hawk fans? I mean, he was injured, so next year he will be fully healthy and truly live up to his potential! Conference championship in the mail!
It happens every year

I'll never forget that play. No whistle was blown...clearly refs were letting the play finish out then decided to change course.

They literally did. He didn’t wave.
Here we go again….. just remember before you start debating that Iowa should had been called for a leaping penalty on the play, giving Minnesota an automatic first down and completely negating any “invalid fair catch” and the punt return.

So if you want to argue about the wave, then argue about the “leap” over a stationary blocker that also wasn’t called

It's like when Hok fans like @Halincandenza wouldn't acknowledge that their center one year poked WI players' eyes multiple times and would grab/shove people at the tip off.

There's clear video evidence and it's just 'nope, didn't happen'.
