Prior to this game, Purdy had two potential game winning drives: vs CLE this year and vs LV last year. In both opportunities he drove his team down the field as time expired, and the kicker missed a 40 yarder to win.

Didn’t matter vs the raiders as they won in OT anyway.

I am not sure how you stop it on this type of play, but wasn't that helmet to helmet contact?

  • Initiating contact with the helmet to any part of an opponent's body. Contact does not have to be to an opponent’s head or neck area — lowering the head and initiating contact to an opponent’s torso, hips, and lower body, is also a foul. Beginning in 2023, the rule was modified to prevent a player from using any part of his helmet or face mask to butt or make forcible contact to an opponent’s head or neck area.

Of COURSE, this is the week that I am actually going to Santa Clara to see a 49ers game in person. Just my luck. Maybe he'll clear protocol, but I'm not holding my breath.
