Fake Offense for sure. Most likely all the other top 25 teams would have. Fake ID.
Deliberate or not, makes no difference. There are lots of calls on the field that were not done deliberate, but still called, frankly most penalties are just that.Guess I should say I don't think it was a deliberate attempt to deceive Minnesota. I think he was trying to get Iowa players to stay away from the ball because it burned us earlier this year.
ISU fans boo, Refs, maybe, boo a called play, But we dont boo our players. And ISU fans boo very very infrequently.ISU fans boo. But "booing" is far less harmful than hurling objects onto the field. I'm sure your spirit squad appreciated being hit in the head with bottles and beer.
They boo their offense every game. You can hear it on tv.ISU fans boo, Refs, maybe, boo a called play, But we dont boo our players. And ISU fans boo very very infrequently.
Iowa is well known to boo their players. How many times did Iowa boo their qb directly last year.
Show me! Because you rarely ever see anyone waving, then actually catch and advance the ball. You say it happens all the time. What's too much waving though? I mean we see punt returners wave at a grounded balls weekly and return them. Are those not enough waving or just missed calls? Granted they never or rarely go for tds. Minnesota or at least majority didn't seem to think it constituted as enough waving. The Refs initially also. I think it is subjective or minimum the rules not being applied consistently
Short of winning that call was the best thing that could've happened for KF, because it gives him cover and allows him to distract everyone by talking about one call instead of about the fact that we had 125 total yards of offense, 11 yards of rushing, and 12 total yards of offense in the second half... against a very mediocre defense.
That's the real story with Saturday's loss.
First time getting screwed, eh?I agree with you, just tough to stomach and ISU fans would be crying all over the internet like Iowa fans are if it happened to them in this fashion as well. Enjoy the tears.
No, no, they’re just saying “Cooooop!” in an effort to get DeJean in on offenseThey boo their offense every game. You can hear it on tv.
From what I have seen you are right. There is 1 example. But in that example he advanced it about 2 yards, not really much of a change whether it was dead on catch vs when downed.North Carolina game from past weekend is 1
"What would Dean Blandino say if he were here right now? He'd probably say f**k Iowa. That's what Dean Bandiono'd say."
You can be mad when it is called incorrect, so Virginia can be mad, because it was called incorrect. But in that it did not matter much because the returner barely advanced the ball. You cant be mad when it is called correct, like at Iowa. That's fair just shows inconsistency of rule is what it proves. When it's inconsistent and rules are applied loosely that's when any fan base gets upset even when rules correct.
That argument sucks when the violation doesn't require a specific intent on his part. Take your L and move on, Hokroach.Guess I should say I don't think it was a deliberate attempt to deceive Minnesota. I think he was trying to get Iowa players to stay away from the ball because it burned us earlier this year.

Honestly I am pretty sure you will find there are a lot of instances where it was called right, and not too many called wrong. I mean seriously do a YT search for "invalid fair catch" Besides all the crying Hok fans you will see a lot of examples.
