Seems weird how the athletic department would rather have a delayed game that finishes at 2 am instead of an uninterrupted game that starts at 11 am.
Seems weird that you don't understand that the school has zero say in the start time.

I'll admit I died hard with the Ohio game last week. Good slate of games tomorrow. I'll watch the others and DVR ISU. I'll keep an eye on the score and jump in if it looks like we are going to put up a fight. If not I can ignore it so I don't ruin an otherwise great day of football watching.Let's be real - there are some amazing games tomorrow, only true OSU and ISU diehards are watching this game on TV.
I'll have it on the primary with other big games on the other 3, hoping my eyes don't have a reason to drift.
It's a fairly new deal that I elected to try instead of a fusion.Good luck with that! I used to be a PT and I don't remember any ankle replacements, that I ever worked w/ anyway. Is it relatively new? Could you tell me about it briefly?
Tis but a scratch. This guy has some face protection. That's good! But what good will it do him when a light pole hits him broadside and hurls him into the Atlantic?![]()
Maybe he’s a grow-er, not a show-ermeans you have tiny pp
What brand of gear?I've never left a game early and I've never not gone to a home game when I was in town. I went to and sat through that entire Drake game. I sat through the entire rain delayed Iowa game. I'll be there tomorrow and I can't imagine that I'll not see the whole damn thing through. I'd be miserable if I left, so I might as well stick around.
I'm pretty thrilled with my new rain gear though. I was in Iceland in June and it was rainy almost the entire 2 weeks. I have rain pants. I have water proof hiking shoes. I'm going to be dry as a ******* bone.
I always told my TKA pts that it's gonna hurt pretty damn good (bad really) the 1st 2 months. The 3rd month you start to see the 'light' in terms of the pain routinely and significantly less. It's a fairly new deal that I elected to try instead of a fusion.
They replace the tibia head and the talus (sp?) with titanium and put a plastic joint in between them. Unlike a fusion, you retain movement and flexibility in the joint instead of losing all that in fusion so that uneven surfaces are more manageable. I've got substantial nerve damage in that leg and had to do something to not shred my knee because the ankle couldn't support it any longer. If it's not successful (80ish% success rate) they can go back and fuse it. I want to put off the coming knee replacement as long as I can because I'm early 40s.
Hurts like a son of a ***** at this point but I'm already weight bearing and feel more stable than I did before surgery. Hopefully, 8 weeks from now I'll have a bunch of the mobility and balance I lost back.

Use a big honkin' umbrella! Tell the folks behind you I said it was OK.What brand of gear?
If I'm Iowa St. I'm exploring moving the game up vs. losing it
It looks like they are not moving the game up. Have they ever done that due to weather? College or pro games? I would imagine it is pretty rare, due to TV schedules, etc.![]()
If there is only one tornado in a storm system, I would say that might be considered isolated? Versus a bunch of them. What is an “Isolated Tornado”?
Aren’t all tornadoes Isolated?
Now we're gonna find out who the real die hards are. I was at the Tech game last year. Excruciating.Just saw hail is possible.
Guessing they know they can finish if a delay happensIt looks like they are not moving the game up. Have they ever done that due to weather? College or pro games? I would imagine it is pretty rare, due to TV schedules, etc.
It also makes too much sense, so you know it isn't going to happen.
Sure, but what incentive does the network have to have an almost guaranteed delayed game on in that time slot? Surely Fox and ESPN could work out a deal to swap OSU-ISU (FS1) and Central Michigan-South Alabama (ESPN+) or SOMETHING. Not saying even money or anything, but work something out.Seems weird that you don't understand that the school has zero say in the start time.
What’s the final consensus as to what’s gonna happen with the rain this afternoon?
