I agree. You don’t need a rocket arm if you get fit a ball in a coffee can sized window without fear. Brock clearly has that ability.

Garrett Wilson also could have helped him out by blocking the last defender rather than celebrating too early.

I don't know, I think the angle Milano? took was out of reach for him and the way that Breece was running based on pattern from a tweet I saw, it was a tough block for Wilson. That 83 yard run was more like 100 with the path that Breece took. He reach 20.5 mph and did a wave back and forth. Either way, it was a heck of a run and Breece is a BA. I don't think Wilson was really celebrating that much, I think he was caught a bit off guard.

That’s a good point. He has haters now and hasn’t lost a game. If he throws some picks that lead to a few losses, the haters will come out in full force and some fans will definitely turn on him.

I don't know if it's necessarily haters versus what actually seems like Trey Lance truthers that can't accept the change at QB and be wrong. I still see people on twitter defending Lance and saying he didn't get the best chance and was shown the door too soon and that Kyle slighted him. In all actuality, I don't think Lance is the best fit for Shanahans system and they realized that relatively quickly and said we got our guy lets move on. Clearly even Darnold fits the mold better. Either way, not like we care since Brock is ballin!

What Montana did have was a preternatural sense of football awareness and instincts. Talk about a guy that didn't have to overthink it. Seemed like for Joe the best decisions just happened--every time. If Purdy has even half that, he's gonna be around a long time.

On a related note, do any of you remember the Saturday Night Live skit with Joe where he'd be "upstairs m***erbating?" Comedic perfection.

I agree wholeheartedly but I will give him this: he has seen Breece in practice for a while last year and again this year so he knows Breece's speed and he thought there was no way Breece would get caught. That said, you have to finish the play because you never know what is going to happen.

You're absolutely correct. I remember that 4.38-4.39 range very well, but forgot when I saw, what I thought was a 4.9 quote.
