Haha I was there with my Dad so I don’t think that was us, but I know exactly who you’re talking about. That guy was pissed, and rightfully so. We were in our seats for all of 5 seconds I think
I went through the north gate. It was open but surely felt like it was closed. Got in line at 12:30 and missed the entire first quarter.
I also noticed they had sunshades/tents set up for the people working at the gates (north gate specifically) in the past and this year they had taken those down so the workers had to stand in the direct sun the entire time. Wonder what the reason for that was.
Maybe they didn’t submit the proper forms in time for the tents…….

How could insurance ever tell where they got the alcohol from? People drink pregame and post game. There had to be only a few ever traversing the rail that was there to get in. Don't they have security monitoring?
It wouldn't surprise me if the heat and sun affected the machines too and caused some of the issues, it seems like a simple thing to make everyone's life better. They could have just checked out our gameday weather thread two weeks before kick-off and known that it was going to be a hot one!
Insurance couldn't tell but they can sue you and claim you didn't have proper safeguards in place which allowed an accident to happen.
I'm completely enamored with how decisions like "the wall" get made. All the employees, gameday staff, etc. and not a single person thought "boy, the people who have to sit against this will probably be pissed". All the people that walked through that stadium prior to Saturday and it never occurred to someone that it will ruin the gameday experience of all the people who sit along side it.
I guess I don't know how security posted there would not suffice to meet that requirement. Seems like I have seen "monitors" in there watching in past years.
I totally agree but when it comes to liability and lawsuits it's a entire different animal.
We have some really stupid people making decisions. I mean, you have to be an idiot to think that is ok.
That is horrendous. Very excellent engineering and installation work, but damn stupid from whoever in the AD approved it.
They probably walked up to it, put two hands on top and attempted to shake it. "Seems pretty sturdy."
Then they asked their coworker on the other side, "Hey, could you grab me my coffee mug? I left it on the other side."
Sips coffee. "By the the way, how many ticket scanners do you think we need for this place assuming the crowd arrives at a rate perfectly distributed over a 90 minute span? A couple dozen?"
Meh. Even if there's a problem we'll blame it on the drunks and late arrivals. We're done here.
Actually you have to say "that's not going anywhere", that's the law.
Is there a stadium webcam to see if demolition of said wall has begun yet?
