Cyclones MBB in 2024 Maui Invite

Confirmed small. My high school gym was bigger.

Concessions and bathrooms were outside. And yea they have air conditioning now but not sure it does anything.

Honestly the worst thing was people trying to have more room and they don’t let anyone squeeze in when there’s clearly room. I mean I don’t blame them as they pack you in like sardines in the general admission.

Also if I recall, everyone stood the whole time in general admission

Looks like they sold out the 2023 tournament game tickets in a week. Anyone planning on going, and right now we are, it would be best to sign up for the emails from the tournament, and purchase ISU tickets when they open up around Feb. 1st of 2024

I was probably a few rows behind you to your right in that picture. Had a ball.

Will Colorado or us lose the invite now? Colorado hasn't been since 2009 so they might get the Big 12 spot

Lahaina and Kanapaali Beach are some of my favorite places on the planet. Truly devastating news and I hope everyone down there was able to evacuate safely

We are on Maui right now, in Kihei (southeast of Lahaina). The area we're in is fine, but the west half of the island is totally shut down. Power is out, roads are closed, evacuation orders, all schools closed... Very dry conditions and high winds from a distant passing hurricane, along with the fires starting after dark, made firefighting very difficult. We were in Lahaina Monday night for the Old Lahaina Luau. Traffic was really bad due to the high winds (30ish mph, with gusts to 60mph).

I see us too!
This is a resurrection, so I don't remember if I posted this before. Last time, we were too late deciding to go to get the ISU package through the university. So we booked the travel and hotel, and bought all-session tickets through the venue, referencing ISU as our team. A little more expensive that way, but two things: our seats were reserved, so we didn't have to fight for space. They had things designed so that you weren't supposed to be able to sell off your unused tickets. However, most of us figured out how to get around it. We ended up selling our unused tickets, with a bidding war between Duke fans wanting our seats for their games that weren't played against ISU. I was blown away by what they were willing to pay.

Oh, and we rented a car. Yeah, the parking was disorganized, but we saw how long the lines were for the shuttle buses, with no seating and no shade while waiting, and we were very glad our traffic time was in a car with AC.
