Cyclones MBB in 2024 Maui Invite

If I had $20,000 my family of 4 would be all over this.
I hear ya, for my wife and I to attend, 5 days at the Hyatt, seat upgrade and all tournament tickets the cost was over $7500, and that does not include flights. I knew it was going to be expensive, but unless we can find something cheaper, not willing to pay that much to just say we did it.

The Iowa State Package is nearly that much for only 3 games. I was there in 2018, it was great fun, really fun. Will be different with Lahaina basically gone, the cost to eatvand drink for 5 nights will run quite a bit also, plus that is a long way to go for 5 night. The first day and last day will mostly be travel. When we went in 2018 we went for 9 nights, I used some points for 5 nights hotel then bought the package for 4 nights plus tickets. Also brought our 13 year old son at the time, I bet we paid about that 7500 or 8 grand for the whole 9 night trip including airfare, food and rental car. Prices do seem steep, if I were to book a room at those team hotels they are charging over $1000/night. As you said figured it was going to be expensive but it is quite a bit more than I remember in 2018.

For reference, my wife and I just paid a bit over $8,000 for the ticket and hotel package this year (6 nights). In 2018, we paid $5,300 for 5 nights. The Kaanapali Hotels were about $420 per night in 2018 and over $900 a night now so that is the big difference. Pricing changed in a big way during COVID as we were there when it broke out and have been back once after.

Agree that it will be drastically different without Lahaina there. That was one of my favorite towns in all the world.

Covid and then the wildfires changed the pricing considerably. That area is entirely about tourism, so they are struggling to make up all the money they lost over that time.

It will be steep...I'm thinking of it as "aid to Lahaina".
