Chick Fil A is much more about the sauces for me than the chicken. The chicken is really only ok. But I could do shots of Chick Fil A Sauce, and Polynesian sauce
 
Eliminating Starbucks would save me a fortune! I don't drink coffee, but my kids sure enjoy spending my money there!!!

Why do folks prefer McD's to BK? The quality of the actual burgers at BK is significantly better. McD's does have better fries - I will give them that.
 
I don't think I've anything from anywhere on this list, except CFA, in years. I voted Subway. Haven't had a sandwich from there in probably 4 years. The one in my town was/is disgusting. I stick to Jimmy John's and Jersey Mike's.

The only thing I'll get from BK is the angry whopper when they have it, but still risky.

The only thing I'll get from Taco Bell is the Volcano burrito, which they brought back after like 10 years, that's worth the risk. Just looked and it looks like I missed out, already off the menu, dammit.

Qdoba > Chipotle

Chick Fil A is the only place I go to for fast food breakfast.

Culver's is king. 95% of my fast food consumption is from there.

Kind of surprised that Starbucks (or as I refer to them, “Home of the $8 cup of coffee”) is leading this poll. They make an awesome cup of Joe, but they are as expensive as %%@*

Culvers is great. Also for chain burrito joints, I don't think there are many if any in Iowa, but I swear by Moe's. Never had Qdoba, but Chipotle is above Panchero's IMO.

Edit: 2 Moe's Southwest Grill locations in IA - Cedar Rapids and Davenport. Wife and I always hit up the one in Peoria, IL on our way to St Louis.

I was really high on Wendy's at one point in my life, but feel like their quality and service has suffered since Covid. McDonald's is the one constant in the fast food burger business that will always stand the test of time no matter what IMO.

The general cleanliness of the restaurants couldn't be more different. Most of the BKs I've been in look like they haven't been cleaned in a week.

I needed a break so took a long trip to the one on Merle Hay for lunch a few weeks back. Damn their prices are expensive for what you get. I love heavy breading on my chicken, but theirs was lacking flavor and dry as ****. Biscuits were good.

Burger King always had potential but seems to be on a slow march towards closure just about everywhere.

Wendy's has always been my fav of the 3 but their service sucks everywhere I've tried and I get tired of them giving me mayo or cheese on my "plain hamburger".

KFC used to be good and their popcorn chicken is decent, but most of their stores are just gross.

I like BK's burgers (I have to get plain as I can't have any dairy) but I know a lot of people that say they get stomach problems from their food and not elsewhere. Not sure if they put a liquid smoke in their meat or something to try and add to the "flame broiled" aspect but I've heard it from quite a few people.

It's about perceptions and expectations. Chipotle used to be much, much better and higher quality and more reasonably priced. They like to pretend they're superior to Taco Bell, but are rapidly becoming Taco Bell. Taco Bell is the same cheap, delicious garbage it always was and always will be and there's something to be said for that. Taco Bell is also one of the only places that still has food that's relatively wildly inexpensive. You can get around 800 calories there for $2 and that means something to people without a lot of disposable income or time.

Also, people who always claim Taco Bell wreaks havoc on your gastrointestinal tract clearly don't eat their because that's largely a myth.
