Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

I'm positive B10's top 4 ACC picks would be before Washington...the question is who they'd be competing with SEC for.

Do FSU/Clemson prefer Big Ten vs joining their in state rivals? Which does UNC prefer?

UNC to Big Ten seems like the only really obvious one to me. The others I could see breaking either way.

If Big Ten wanted USC you can be sure they want FSU and/or Miami. Does SEC want more of Florida? How much more?
honestly, i think the Big 10 reached on USC/UCLA and only did it to prevent the SEC from getting them. i think they would fully prefer 4 ACC schools.

The fact that we're hearing absolutely nothing from or about Washington tells me that the next team to jump will be Washington.
I hope so…truth is nobody knows nothing. There’s probably a handful of people out there who know- and they aren’t saying anything. It’ll happen when it happens- but oh boy, it is sure fun to watch. I’ve haven’t been this excited about the B12 in a long time.

The more I check out Utah boards the more I hope they get left behind into the land of hasbeens. What a cocky bunch of *ssholes they don't even realize their conference is disappearing around them.

Utah is a fast growing state, perhaps the fastest, but they have major environmental issues threatening that growth beyond just water usage that could slow that growth. It's not really that big of a market, half of Colorado and slightly bigger than Iowa. Same population as Nevada.

Even after Utah's golden era the fans in state are a 50/50 split BYU/Utah and BYU has way more fans out of state. If BYU goes on a tear and Utah struggles I would expect BYU to be the more popular team pretty clearly.

Double up in AZ if you're going to double up somewhere.

I feel the exact same way. I've said it before, but when this all shakes out, I wouldn't be surprised to find out they were never an option for the Big 12 and that's why they have been the poster child of unity for the PAC.

Where do you think Miami/FSU end up?

Both SEC? Both B10? Split?

Is there any chance one ends up B12?

If I had to guess Miami B10, FSU SEC.

it seems timing is a big part of realignment. Contemplating if the PAC had accepted the idea of a merger, our noobs (sans Colorado) would probably not be P3 status. Our we better off that the PAC turned the merger down for the future, or would we be better off with some schools that are prima donnas had they worked to make the merger happen. I am sure Cincy, Houston, Central Florida, and BYU are glad they didn't accept, are the old members better or worse? Seems debatable; IMO I honestly think we are better, especially if Yormack is able to land Washington and Oregon

Nah they just want the invite, if the big ten wanted them they would already be members
Agree. Do you think the B1G cares about the perception of wrecking the PAC12? And that is why they are waiting? Or is that not really a thing, and they really aren't that interested in them?

A team that only recently became "P5" played in National championship game 6 months ago.

TCU, Houston, UCF, Cincy and Utah have all helped themselves by having periods of football success. Any of them could have been passed over if they had been a cellar dweller.

There was a great article from the Miami paper about how USF and UCF's fortunes completely flip flopped.
