Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

It's not about who would leave because you're right they all would, ISU obviously included.

It's about who has already been vetted and passed over.

I want the absolute best 16-20 teams that have been vetted and passed over by the mega cash duopoly.

Colorado and Arizona seem to be the absolute best available in that crowd now given that we already have the Utah program with the highest upside.
I can see the appeal of that, but I think we're getting close to a new stasis point in conference membership, with the ACC as the last to drop. There's no guarantee OR and WA will ever get into the B10. If they can be additive to the B12 in the meantime, might as well.

It seems like just a couple months ago when we were all generating scenarios where OSU and TTU went to the PAC, ISU and KU ended up in the B10 West, and Kansas State joined the MWC. Lol what a time to be alive.

The fact that we're hearing absolutely nothing from or about Washington tells me that the next team to jump will be Washington.
That is true, although I don't recall hearing much recently from Oregon either. I think the thing no one will dispute is that if one of them comes over, the other one will be coming as well.

Love the Utah fan who has convinced themselves the Big 12 is inferior to the Mountain West that they also hate.

B12 is the best basketball league with separation and played in the NC for football last year. Oh how would the Utes survive. That rivalry has 1000000x the butthurt of ISU/Iowa.

The more I check out Utah boards the more I hope they get left behind into the land of hasbeens. What a cocky bunch of *ssholes they don't even realize their conference is disappearing around them.

If ACC teams are preparing to jump in spite of their GOR wouldn't the B10 want ACC schools over Wash and Oregon?

I wonder if BYU's significant struggles as a recent independent help push them toward B12 at least slightly.

I'm guessing they bring something somewhat similar as an independent in a lot of ways in terms of eyeballs and athletic dept.

Let's say Washington stays in weakened Pac holding out for that B10 invite...sure they might make more $ as an independent the same way BYU made more $ as independent than MWC...but it's still going to suck compared to the Big 12 as BYU already played out.

I'm positive B10's top 4 ACC picks would be before Washington...the question is who they'd be competing with SEC for.

Do FSU/Clemson prefer Big Ten vs joining their in state rivals? Which does UNC prefer?

UNC to Big Ten seems like the only really obvious one to me. The others I could see breaking either way.

If Big Ten wanted USC you can be sure they want FSU and/or Miami. Does SEC want more of Florida? How much more?
