Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

Who is heck is Greg Flugaur?
He lucked his way into info regarding USC/UCLA to the Big Ten. Now he's using that credibility to grift and attention seek every time the slightest rumor hits twitter.

But hey, at least he puts his real name on it, unlike other accounts that frequently get posted here...

For the record, I didn't say I believe Flugaur on anything. I shared Flugaur's because it is strange to me that he and Scheer both claimed multiple DMs came in pushing rumors on a random Sunday. Also, neither of them believed what was being pushed.

I definitely get the sentiment behind thinking this could be the week.

Media days are behind them, so CU doesn't need to deal with media hoardes. CU made public comments putting pressure on GK to produce numbers last week, and he didn't. I'm sure there's a natural desire to get this done before football season so it doesn't distract from what is shaping up to be a banner year for the program (in terms of attendance/attention. not wins).

But with that being said, there's been a lot of weeks where I thought a decision could/would be made, so who knows...

Wonder what specifically today generated them both dms from so many people. Realignment twitter is the best twitter.

He does realize that the 'application' to get into a conference is one sentence on a university letterhead, right?

It's not like there's a mountain of paperwork constituting an application.

It’s also not like applying for a new job, you apply when it’s 100% a done deal that you’re leaving and have already been accepted

This is the latest artificial deadline narrative shaping up I saw a couple times over the weekend.
It might be artificial, but I have a tough time believing Pac10 schools want an unresolved media rights deal hanging over their head during football season. And realignment being an open question with recruits this fall.

I agree that if there is any kind of soft deadline right now it is the beginning of football season. If the PAC still doesn't have a deal by then I think we can assume they are in bad shape.
