Garage or Backyard?

Where do you hang out the most?

Garages are for cars. Backyard deck is where it's at.

There's nothing but my tools and crap (and an older tv for football) in my garage so there's nothing to draw children or other adults in my house to the garage. The backyard increases my likelihood of having to interact with others 10 fold.

AKA I hang out in the garage because people leave me the hell alone.

I can say with 100% confidence I've never hung out in my garage. We have a patio, firepit, yard games, etc. that all take place in the backyard and we're out there frequently. There is literally nothing in the garage but tools, cars, and kids bikes and stuff.

Edit: I do live across the street from a city park that my garage faces. So on nice days I’d be hanging out with a bunch of random people looking in my garage.

Garage but only because it has year-round application.

Even if it's nice out, if I'm watching sports, the TV is in the garage (technically, sort of).
Same here. We have a good amount of driveway too, so it works really good for game watches.

I think my garage love goes back to being a kid though and my dad working on his various muscle cars.

Neither and none of the above.

I have an awesome man cave. I spend my free time there.

Once in a while I do go to my FIL cabin in northern Minnesota.... very beautiful up there.

Garage by default (apartment, no yard), though I would still spend a lot of time in there because that's where all my barbecue stuff and weights are.

For just purely hanging out, backyard definitely gets most use, but my garage is heated, so in winter, my friends and I will get together for a cigar and a whiskey in there. Considering the garage is also my workshop though, it does get a lot of year around use while I have the TV on. It's just not a casual hang out.
