***Official 2022 Weather Thread***

We're supposed to travel from Twin Cities to KC on Friday, with a quick stop in Iowa to drop off presents at my parents, to spend Christmas with our son. Right now my husband and son don't seem too concerned about the weather that day.

Update: I mentioned to my husband shortly after posting this that he might want to take a close look at the weather. We’re now leaving tomorrow. Neither of us wants to miss this weekend!

Of course there are no rules on how to get them there. You just need to drop them off.

No joke we once got an email from the admin saying that all children needed to be dropped off via check in at the front desk and taking to their classroom/teacher. Parents were not to put children over the fence into the outdoor playground as a check-in method.

There are days I'm not an A+ parent but damn that made me feel like I'm definitely in the upper half :p

just your classic iowa blizzard, you really only need 4-6 inches in these things to cause travel chaos everywhere.

arrives in minnesota wed at lunch
western iowa wed at dinner
covers all of iowa by late wed
it will be moving out of the state by dinner time thursday, the models that came out overnight that threw people into a frenzy had it sticking around much longer, so probably 4-6 for most of the state.

after the storm will be brutal, frigid, and windy arctic air, just downright nasty

by monday it starts to warm up
