Thanks. Looking some and it seems I might be north of the We're All Going to Die line. Going to be stupid cold and crazy windy but haven't heard much snow doom for here.
This is my dream snow moving machine. With a plastic cab and a stereo system with subwoofers in it so I can just hot box and bump. Doesn’t snow here enough/melts away too fast to make it worth it.

To be fair with blizzard conditions coming along with super cold weather it might actually be worth that this time.

A good size snow storm before Christmas probably doesn’t bode well for us going forward this winter lol. January is going to be nuts I suspect.
Looks like warmer (above freezing) temps expected behind this system (after the frigid sweep) so might not be too bad.
Also I’m happy to get this out of the way. Chances of another major blizzard have to drop after getting one right?

The airlines will tell you they’re all ATC delays.Don't forget about those ATC delays
Thunderstorms they can’t fly through? ATC delay.
Scheduling 12 departures in a 15-minute window when the airport can only handle 8? ATC delay.
Pilot overslept and his on his way? ATC delay.
Mechanic lost a wrench somewhere and they can’t take off until tgey find it? ATC delay.
It's been a while since we've had a white Christmas here and using the snow blower 4x before the New Year? Pretty sure that hasn't happened since we moved to our house 7+ yrs ago.
Could be depends if that H pressure in PNW moves or hangs out to keep letting Siberian air/snow to keep funneling down.
If you consider them statistically independent events then no, not really.
I’m basically going in the opposite direction and yeah, I’ll see if that happens.
I will say, I am really thankful that my parents are probably taking an overly cautious view on if I should try and come to Iowa.
You really never know. Seen plenty of nasty December’s that turned to warm January’s and February’s.
I don’t have the plastic cab or stereo system. Just straight up 4wheeler, blade, ear buds and Spotify. It’s fun though. I love big snows.
Santa's probably glad he has Rudolph leading his sleigh this year with all this potential white crap blowing around.
HyVee should do their liquor sales around these types of weather events. People will already be at the store and the thought of spending 2-4 days in my house with my family is a good enough reason to stock up!
