I honestly don't have an issue with our approach on offense. I don't love it. It's more fun to watch Lane Kiffin's offense for example than ours. But, don't really care as much about that as winning.
Key issue on offense in my opinion is the offensive line. If you play the way we do, you need to execute on short yardage, in the red zone, and be able to run the clock out at the end of games. OL was no where near good enough throughout CMC's tenure to do these things consistently. Changing out the OL coach is probably 2-3 yrs late.
My main concern is that our approach will go unchanged and our OL will take 2-3 yrs to get up to speed (with a good coach). Hope Scheelhaase can coach around it a bit better than we have... but OC will be a really hard job until we get the OL fixed (imho).
