How many people here were at the '91 Colorado game?

I remember getting from Pammel to about the horse barns in my Volkswagon Vanagon and having to turn around, park at Pammel and walk to the game WITH MY GIRLFRIEND (now wife.) It seemed like there were no more than 1500 people there, they didn't have any gatekeepers and you could literally sit anywhere you wanted. Although, before we slipped and let them score a long touchdown, it was close and amazingly loud with many in the crowd following the line of scrimmage up and down the field.

They brought in maybe 4 sidewalk cleaners to brush the snow off the field before each quarter. It snowed HARD that night and day.
Drove 3 hours to Ames in blowing snow stuck it out the whole game dang still get the chills thinking of that day

Wonder if they'll let folks sit where they want Saturday night. There's gonna be a ton of empty seats in the lower bowl.
I would be grateful to the athletic department if they allowed that as our tickets are in section X.

Will the band even be playing? I _think_ they were there for KU 2013, but frozen spit valves are no joke.

Can confirm they were there for 2013. Can see them in some of the shots

A good game to have a plastic mouthpiece

They were and they will be. Not only that but in that weird traditions the seniors will leave their shoes on the field.

Official game weather info is recorded at/near kickoff. Any large temperature swings during the game aren't part of the record. This is every JTS game below freezing:

20 - MU 1979 (WCI 11)
21 - KSU 1995
22 - OSU 1985
25 - KSU 1993
25 - BU 2018 (WCI 18)
26 - NU 1976
28 - KU 2000 (WCI 0)
28 - KSU 2003 (WCI 21)
31 - KSU 1984 (N 20-25)
I was at the '85 OSU game. Stands were empty, and Thurman Thomas couldn't get a yard all day. He was wrecked. I was with my brother and a couple of friends. Wandered the stadium, sitting anywhere we wanted, and even stood in the north stands (just bleachers at the time - no building behind) and tried to catch an extra point kick. Hung out in the bathrooms at halftime to warm up. Cold as a witch's ninnies! Not sorry to have missed the 2013 KU game.

I'm at a conference at a resort on the Aegean Sea coast of Turkey. Gorgeous. Leaving on Friday to make it back in time to tailgate and go to the game on Saturday. What was I thinking!

I was there one of the few

I was at that Kansas game with my brother. Both of our wives were smart enough to not go. We bundled up but our feet were definitely cold from being on ice all game long. My brother just about left early because he has poor circulation in his feet to begin with.

I plan to bring some cardboard to put my feet on. It sounds crazy but it makes a big difference. the corrugated cardboard keeps a layer of insulation between your feet and the cold concrete (or ice in the case of the Kansas game). I brought some for a game a few years ago. All my buddies were making fun of me before the game but by the end of the game they were glad I brought a big enough piece for all of us.

My 7 year old daughter really wanted to go to a game this year and this was the only game left on the schedule. I'm hoping we can make it at least until halftime.

They did and I felt so bad for the seniors leaving their shoes on field. The field wasn’t so bad but when they got to the sideline there was a lot of ice.

Wind will be a factor in regard to the temp. Gonna be a ***** if you're on the east side of the stadium.

My 7 yr old informed me yesterday that we are NOT leaving early.
What is it with these 7 year olds and their entitlement? My 7 year old son insists he is going to the game and my biggest concern is him getting too cold. I think I'll probably take him because I feel like the best memories are made when conditions are the worst.
