Weather for Tech - 6pm, Sub-20s

The Lanning game we were in the top row around the 50 on the east side. I don't remember being cold.

Baylor brawl we snuck down in the LL because of tons of open seats so it probably was cold.
66-10 game was 38 degrees per the cyclones.com box score.

I seriously don’t see tech scoring more than 3 points, 7 at most in these conditions against our D. We will not lose this game.
You are 50/50 the past 2 weeks. Which should we believe, Jekyll or the Hyde?

I want to believe...I do.

Weather Underground says High of 24 with a Feel Like of 13 degrees in mid-afternoon.

We want Bama
The funniest thing is that one of the the coldest games I have ever attended was an Alabama game: 1976 Liberty Bowl vs. UCLA. The (8-3) Tide Upset the (9-1-1) Bruins 36-6. Coach Bryant wore a red ski mask that night @ 10:55 mark.

Cold + Thanksgiving break + bad team = lots of empty seats and some pretty angry fans when things inevitably go bad
I have not booed at a football game since 1992 vs. Kansas (I was chastised by a good fan and learned a lesson). I also will not criticize any players (Coach is right about that). They are kids, and I feel for them, as I know it is harder on them than on me, as they are investing their lives in it, and I am just participating in a hobby.

However, that being said, I am not driving to Ames to sit in the cold for four hours next Saturday to watch the final chapter of this book. I hope they win, and I will listen on the radio or watch on TV, but when it's not fun, it's not worth being there. FWIW, I am currently sitting at .500 all-time watching them in person, and I don't want to drop below .500 again!

Right now it's 29 in Ames and 43 in Lubbock.

Texas Tech may be a "Texas" school.........but they are by no means Houston when it comes to weather.

I doubt temps in the mid 20's are going to bother them much.
That’s really overstated by fans. Coldest game I ever attended was Baylor in 2018 and for the most part they outplayed us that day. We were fortunate to win that. Plenty of other examples where the southern team played just fine up north

Completely disagree. Especially when you have lame duck teams with nothing to really play for at the end of the year.

Going to be cold - especially late - and with the way things are going, it's probably going to be a very sparse crowd. Hope it's a good showing for the Seniors though.
