Both Bock and Eickholt said there were no rumblings going around that Payton was leaving. During that same time frame Payton was also recruiting Pryce to Iowa. Add on to the fact he never even left, everything you’re alleging just doesn’t make sense and appears baseless.

They seem to have a good pulse on things in Iowa City. Bock is probably still trying to pull up those June transcripts on Deyo after he said he would commit to Iowa haha.
The same guys that claimed Hunter Deyo had grade issues and wasn’t going to get into college?

Go HR. You think HIIC is bad, Franisdaman is the ultimate in dbags over there. He is definitely a Bock/Eickholt/Sears type of ballwasher. Plus he is currently giving Murray and Linderbaum some sweet chin music over there. Love that people are finally calling his lovefest out over there.

Plus, a lot of Div 1 teams can use a knock down three point shooter. He wouldn't be transferring down, he would be transferring laterally if he was to transfer.
I have zero knowledge on whether he was thinking of transferring, but maybe he wanted to move down to a level where he could be the guy and not just shoot threes?
Again, no knowledge from me here. Find it a little weird that he'd want to transfer when his brother was 1000% going to go there with him. And maybe during the year his mind was wandering and it was just a thought he had? Who knows what he was going through mentally. But him having an isolated thought doesn't mean it was anywhere close to being a real thing.
Could be he didn't like the prospect of playing with his brother. I'm speculating of course, but they probably play a similar style, same position etc, I would assume both have the same strengths and weaknesses, and with only being a year apart, they'll likely eat into each others playing time. Could be Pryce is better and Payton didn't at one point, want to risk the embarrassment of his little brother getting time over him.
I would highly doubt that. They will likely both be starting at the same time.
It's true, Fran does love to play multiple 6'7'' + forwards at a time. He'd probably play 1-4 that way if and when he could.
Patrick and the Sandfort brothers on the court at the same time would make a pretty horrible defensive lineup lol
Eh, Payton doesn’t really have the skill set to be “the guy” imo. Very good complement that could be 10-12 ppg player.
