The Fran fade

A nice "Welcome back to the program" turd waiting for Fred on his desk when he took over the program.
I suspect that Boozer would not have been back either way. There was some serious house-cleaning that spring.

I feel like it was more said in jest than anything. I can't imagine Underwood and the McCaffrey's are on all that friendly of terms. He sounds pretty curmudgeonly to me
Didn't think it was real. But I did think that, as a coach, it was somewhat inappropriate to talk about a student athlete from any team in that manner, even in jest.
Maybe that's just me.

The Sandfort hype is unfair to him. He was looking at transferring down a level last year. Hopefully Iowa fans don’t eat their own there.
He struggles to defend at this level, but that makes him par for the course in Fran's program. I don't think he has the right measurables to be a high level defender. He isn't quick laterally, and I don't care how tall he is, because he has really short arms.

I don't think it will stop him from averaging 12 and 5 this year though.

A. The Iowa insiders dispelled it when it was first brought up

B. He actively was recruiting his brother to Iowa when you first started the rumor

C. He clearly didn’t leave

D. Just to pile on to all that, you haven’t exactly proven to be super reliable…

As in before the season? I've never heard that. Certainly didn't play that way. He's a really confident player. I think sandfort will average around 10 off the bench this year. Seems like Fran always has a scoring option off the bench and I think that role fits him perfectly.

What insiders dispelled it?

It was in January of 2022. He wasn’t really playing that entire month and that’s when he was looking at other options.

You have issues.

There used to be a Hawk troll on here that called everyone Fella. I'm wondering if this is the same person.
Since you said this, it rang a bell:
And both Jackson and Rugamba are more likely to play in the NFL than Peavy. Also, Rugamba has the lowest passer rating against of any returning DB in the Big Ten. Coming from someone who thought Mike Warren was better than Akrum Wadley because stats!!!!, I think I'll stick with my opinion that Jackson and Rugamba are better talents than anyone Iowa State has to offer. Although Peavy is pretty good for a lil feller.
A good lil feller? WTF is that about?
