Only 3 top 25 teams preseason for the B1G. Iowa should have no problem finding 12 or 13 conference wins.

Indiana should be good as the preseason favorite with TJD returning, but even they are just a bubble team running it back.

Illinois might be the most talented team led by their two Big 12 transfers Matthew Mayer and Terrance Shannon. Lot of new pieces to blend with transfers and freshmen.

They'll have plenty of problems finding that.

It's scary for Iowa basketball and their fans, considering how each of those players looked last season. It stands to reason though, that each of them have made modest to decent improvements since last season. Perkins was playing pretty well at the end of the season, a case could probably be made that he was #2 at times.

I personally expect Sandfort and Perkins to both be better than Patrick, but Patrick will average more MPG than both.

Jim Boeheim RIPS the Big Ten

Big Ten --all that history, recruiting base, massive budgets$$, and haven't won an NCAA title in 22 years

Grossly overhyped last year at this time,
leads to ......in sequential order:

> Overrated by media-types
> Overanked in polls
> Overseeded in NCAA tourney (w/ generous number of teams)

All of it is interconnected.
Big 10 had 9 teams make the Dance last March and they TANKED

so far this pre-season the voters finally coming to their senses

maybe Fran will get out of the first round this time LMAO

Who is supposed to be Iowa's 2nd best player this year? We all know the expectations for Kris, which I still think are unfair to him.

He's gonna need something around him to help. Is it really supposed to be the little McCafferys as those dudes?

Depends on your definition of 2nd best player. There is the head coaches definition, aka one of his sons and there is the true definition in that it will be someone else.

If it wasn't for that stupid double-foul - the last title the big ten won was 1989?

Wait, I thought Perkins spent his summer learning to punt and transferred to the Iowa State football program.

Wait, haven't you heard, Sandfort grew 2 inches and is now 6'8? Chad thinks he's the second coming of Scottie Pippen.
