This is correct - if the same decal were on the other side, it would be correctThe tornado ones obviously came from a replica dealer who wasn't big on details, because the point is facing the wrong way.

Here's a look at both sides in the same picThis is correct - if the same decal were on the other side, it would be correct
Same base shell with 4 different decals (standard, metallic, cardinal stencil, black stencil) and 4 different cages (white, cardinal, grey, black)I didn’t realize there are that many versions of the white helmet.

Correct, if you look at the helmet wall, the actual tornado is flipped backwards, under the Iowa State. You can tell by the way the top fits under the words. The decal is just wrong. If the same replica decal was on the other side, it would still be wrong. The tornado pointed to the right on both sides, never to the left.
There was no flipped/inverted decal for the tornado era. There was one for the swirlybird era, though, as Cy faced "forward" on both sides. The logo on the left side of the helmet (Seth Zehr #58 for reference here) was the only approved usage of the swirlybird logo that faced to the left.

Wow, you folks are right - they only flipped the tornado around - that's weird that they did that - it must have been created from scratch...Correct, if you look at the helmet wall, the actual tornado is flipped backwards, under the Iowa State. I am curious to see what a script "Cyclones" helmet would look like if the colors were switched (primary cardinal with gold script letters)Damn! I find it hard not to love this uniform
I bet it would look pretty fire with a white shadow - wish I had the PS skills to make this happen...I am curious to see what a script "Cyclones" helmet would look like if the colors were switched (primary cardinal with gold script letters)
Maybe they can bring back the script helmet golf cart along with the kit car they drove around on the field.

Agree.
Maybe. Maybe not. He's also not the perfect uniform designer, some of us were thinking he was, the first year or three after he was hired.
Consider the anthrocite gray, the black collar, the lack of even a trace of white (with cardinal jersey).
I don't dislike these at all, and am neutral as to a future throwback. As people have mentioned, the color variations could be easily fixed.
Two things though: 1) I had never noticed how different and 'bleached out' the "number" cardinal looks with these. It's much worse than just lighting variations that @CyValley might have suggested, IMO. And yes, when you are aware of it, it looks pretty off. 2) I have only noticed "3" gold color variations, not that it really needs further debate. I don't see the 4th.
Looks gray/silver to me. Maybe we are the Raiders now...Ummm…. is the guy on the left wearing a black jersey with a gray/silver collar and number, or is it just the lighting?

The black jerseys do have a gray collar, but the numbers just look like the filter or lighting is just making it look more light/gray silver - the numbers are definitely white in another photo he (#90) posted (the one where he's "dunking" in front of the helmet wall - posted earlier in this thread)Looks gray/silver to me. Maybe we are the Raiders now...
Idk but he could use a couple more arm bandsUmmm…. is the guy on the left wearing a black jersey with a gray/silver collar and number, or is it just the lighting?
