2022 Recruiting/Transfer Class

I’m guessing seniors like Basile, Bates, and Osun are better next year than Biliew.

But if we miss on transfers that can start, a 5-star like Biliew would be a fun contingency.
Doubtful he’ll be a lottery pick soon!

Fred's probably got next year to prove it or lose it. Don't see he's got much to sell at this point.
He's going to have to buy it at this point. Fred's got deep pockets..maybe he'll NIL a couple kids in to save his job. What's he make? What's a couple hundred grand for job security? Maybe even right it off on his taxes? Freaking mess

There’s no saving it he’ll be gone after next season! Nebraska was a football school never a basketball school! He’s fighting a loosing battle! Poor Freddy the grass is not always greener on the other side!

I don’t think you can assume equal buy-in and effort, there are just too many factors. Last year’s team was also 7-2 (including post-season) in games decided by 5 or fewer points, which is probably not sustainable. They over-achieved mightily, I enjoyed every second of it, and they should be celebrated for it, but it’s probably fair to temper expectations for year two, as well.

No one ever talks about how much luck, “getting hot at the right times”, and “bounces” matter over the course of a season when they constantly complain and think they can construct a better roster than the coaching staff. Basketball is a much more marginalized sport than football.

It was actually a **** ton “greener”. Like a legit **** ton

Didn't do this last week because of a death in the family, but I'm back again for our transfer portal updates

Obvious Basile and Bates are off the list. James Graham finally committed somewhere as well, heading to Missouri State

Josiah Strong from Illinois State is down to a final 5, we are not in it

Michael Jones has a top 3

Souley Baum to Xavier

Ricky Council has us in his top 6

Josiah Allick has visits set up with us, OU, Clemson, Mississippi State, and BYU which was confirmed later

Osun also took a visit here over the weekend

Any insight to this or just speaking it into existence? As far as the other guard.. AJ sounds nice
AJ is expected to be on campus next year. Unless he hears something crazy at this G-league combine. Duke is also talking to him, but he can come in and be the man at ISU.

Oh I know I was just wondering about the previous poster’s wording. All signs as of right now point to AJ being a Cyclone next year. It’s NBA or Iowa State.
