Tre is best suited for the 4. He's the same size as JazKing is a 3/4 so I don't think so.

I don’t see them as playing the same position. Jaz plays way further out from the basket. Unless King is a great shooter and I’m unaware of it, I don’t think these 2 should be competing for playing time. Not over King according to CW.
He did shoot 34% on 3P in his last season at EKU, albeit on 56 attempts.I don’t see them as playing the same position. Jaz plays way further out from the basket. Unless King is a great shooter and I’m unaware of it, I don’t think these 2 should be competing for playing time.
Didn’t know he was a decent shooter, that’s good.He did shoot 34% on 3P in his last season at EKU, albeit on 56 attempts.
They’re definitely competing for playing time. How could they not be? You think Kunc is the one that plays further from the basket, yet King is going to play the three?
I think they’re both mostly 4s. King playing the 3 isn’t ideal, particularly with Williams at pg, but Kunc could play some 5 Imo in more offense based lineups.
Yeah, anyone saying Robert Jones wasn't a good player for us last year has a pretty selective memory. He played a lot of important minutes as the year went on, played solid defense, and even scored some key baskets. Obviously he had some bad mistakes too, but so did everyone on that team.I thought Jones did some good things when needed, other than never making free throws lol.
I mean, I would just say look into his production if you think people who are saying he ideally isn't playing much into the future are the ones with selective memory. He was an outlier in not a great way in the B12 this season.Yeah, anyone saying Robert Jones wasn't a good player for us last year has a pretty selective memory. TJ trusts him and the new guys are going to have to come in and take that playing time by force if they want to unseat Jones. I hope they do, because that's a good sign for the direction of our team.

How do you feel about Manny Bates vs BVP or Basile?
need the scoring more, imo. So BVP, Basile firstHow do you feel about Manny Bates vs BVP or Basile?
I don’t understand thinking King had less perimeter skills than Kunc but would not compete for time. What am I missing?Didn’t know he was a decent shooter, that’s good.
I guess I’m thinking in a less formal manner than traditional 1-5s. Last year Jaz gave us all kinds of intangibles that impacted the game all over (taking charges for example) and I feel like because of that he will have his playing time.
I'll never understand college athletics. Hunter will transfer a full calendar year after King to a new school, and will play a whole semester earlier. How is this a thing?Council would be an AWESOME wing guard. Looks like he can play 2-4 .
6'9" wingspan. 33% career 3 point shooter. Good rebounder. YES PLZ!!!! Go get'em TJ
Williams
Green
Council IV
Tre King (2nd semester)
Grant Basile
Jaz (starting 4 in the fall)
Kalscheur/Grill
That's a roster I could get fired up about
He’s IB before the 3P jump.IB before ISU:

Big 10 vs AAC isn't fair.. But this would be a pretty good piece to backfill our wing guard spot. He is a better rebounder and 3 point shooter than IB per 40 minutes played as a 2nd year player. Go get him TJ
Yeah kinda my thoughts too. Definitely think we need someone who can put the ball in the basket vs more defense. I do think Bates offers more scoring thoughDoesn't sound like we can afford.. Also kind of redundant with the Ward take IMO
Thoughts?
The NCAA allows one transfer with immediate eligibility. King used his when he transferred to Georgetown. Since this is King’s second transfer, he has to sit out. FWIW, the NCAA used to require all transfers to it out a year, even if it was your first one.I'll never understand college athletics.
