Yep, has a condition…so that was a low joke by Chris. This is why Gervais doesn’t host this thing anymore…they were ready to get him at every turn, but I don’t think he went that low (it’s been a long time though).

Gervais has never hosted the Oscars.

Hard to be 100% sure. Just re-watched it and paused it through. Best clue is his first position on the follow through. Palms open, which would be normal for a slap, but a punch. Also no idea why I bothered to go back and look that closely lol
