Ozark on Netflix

Plan on knocking out the first 2-3 episodes tonight. Anybody seen any early impressions without giving away any spoilers yet?

We went back and started from the beginning before the new season starts. Glad we did because there's a lot I forgot about.

I rewatched the last episode of the 3rd season only because I didn't have enough time to watch the entire season......which I'm sure was a mistake.

Going to try and knock out a few episodes as well tonight! It sucks the season is split into two parts.

I watched the fist episode as well. Gonna try to avoid binge watching so I can string the 7 shows out and enjoy it longer.

It's interesting to me how the female characters can be so scary, especially Darlene. If I saw her coming down the sidewalk, I'd cross the street.

That show doesn't do the Ozarks justice. I lived there for years and the criminal element is way worse. Never understood the heroin poppy field thing though. More a meth thing down there. Not sure how you'd have a poppy field with the National Guard flying over looking for marijuana fields and meth cooking operations all the time.

I'm through three and their character development is so good in this series. I admit I forget some of "how we got here" from the first couple seasons, but it's coming back.

Bateman's mannerisms and personality is so good in this role.

I watched Bateman on Kimmel the other night and he talked about how the last season is 14 shows that have been split into two 7-show segments. He was kind of vague, but he said fans won't have to wait that far into 2022 before the final 7-show segment is released, which is good. The last wait was ridiculous.

It's also filmed in Georgia, the lake is similar style to the Ozarks but still.

Finished up all 7....

Have to admit don't think I'm going to miss Darlene & Wyatt much.

The actor who played Wyatt had to be disappointed with everything surrounding his character as the series went on lol. He kept getting less impact and more weirdness with Darlene. I had almost forgot he and Charlotte were a thing in previous seasons.

S4 Part 1 has been tremendous outside of a few meaningless staredown tactics from Wendy. They build up these little moments of tension (getting Maya to meet with Navarro, meeting place for FBI and Navarro) and then Wendy gets in there and threatens everyone and boom, issue resolved.

It's a fun world to jump into, and Bateman is so good.
