Z is Rocky Balboa...and by the way, when I say he is the man, I mean that from the Cyclone perspective. I'm a totally nonbiased reporter from the Iowa State Daily...

I also want to listen live tonight. I went to take down radio and can't find the link...help!

I am refusing to watch for two reasons...

1) BigTen network
2) I can't watch a collapse, not that I think it will happen.. .I just can't handle one right now.

Each championship match gives the winner five points, I believe - one for advancement and four from the difference of first- and second-place.
Basically, the Dennis/Fanthorpe and Morningstar/Reader matches are the key to the whole thing. A 10-point swing either way.

So what needs to happen for ISU to win? How big of lead is 11 points?
That's a small lead.

We would have collapsed already. I don't think we'll lose all the matches tonight.

Big Z is not the fat one, he is the one that has to try and take down the whales.

True, but heavys all end up with low scores.

Standard NCAA scoring: 16-12-10-9-7-6-4-3

The only additional points tonight will be winners in the placing matches, and their bonus points. No advancement.

BTN is starting coverage at 7:00, and the finals start at 7:20. They will probably recap the semis (highlights only), then jump into the finals live. Don't expect any full matches other than championship matches.

so the 7th 5th and 3rd matches will start at 630?

K thanks. So it would be an eight-point swing for the Dennis/Fanthorpe and Morningstar/Reader matches. A couple quick points:
-I have never seen Dennis wrestle. Fanthorpe has never wrestled Dennis (I asked him before the Iowa dual). Fanthorpe is favored not just by ranking, but also experience
-Reader sometimes gets too jacked up before matches. He's talked about it before. He has to get over that, but he had a week to think about the Iowa dual and an hour before his match, once the dual had started. He has a few hours until the championship match, but I'm guessing he'll be resting more than anticipating. Could be wrong.

so which one? :mask:
I'm trusting Shadow on this one.

For placement matches points are already added into the team scores; the wrestler that wins gets more and the loser doesn't get any more. For example: In the finals, both wrestlers are awarded the 12 for second place. The winner gets the other 4 to make up the 16. Goes that way all the way down the board.
