iowa vs Virginia

I had this as a big Iowa win before the season. Virginia just isn’t good offensively. Iowa is gonna win big but that’s whatever. We will know far more after they play at #2 Purdue and host Illinois before coming to Ames.
Last time in football or basketball was 2017, and that was Wiggintons freshman year when Iowa was horrible. We barely won that one.
Yeah…. this is probably his last year at Iowa. It’s amazing what he has done….. going from a high school senior that nobody wanted to a two and done guy. Crazy.

People were saying that about Xavier and Memphis. And remember Navy beat them by 8 and Houston beat VA by 20 and it wasn't that close. And like I posted in a previous thread:

First half thoughts -
Iowa is still a work in progress in the defensive side - Virginia missed a lot of open shots.
Iowa is good - as usuall - on the offensive-end.

Forgot. I’m still trash talking the tavernhawks about those. They’d gladly trade a couple FB or BB wins to get just one CC win against us. Domination!
Did people not think Iowa was gonna be trouble for us the whole time up until now? If not it’s your own fault for not thinking they’d be tough regardless of how we look right now. I love how some see one half against a very bad offense and think they’re world beaters for some reason. Next two games for them will be much more of a gauge. Hang with Purdue on the road and upset Illinois then yeah they’re probably good. But even if that happens I like our chances. #eternaloptimist
