We scored 38 and lost?? WTF are you talking about?
The offense couldn't find itself out of wet blanket in the first half for the most part.... you don't think the offense not being able to stay on the field leads to a defense giving up points? And yes the opposite is also true.

But we are or were 2nd in the Big 12 in defense in just about every category coming into the game.... so yeah. He doesn't get a pass but when you're the second best unit in the conference when the offense is... well, not... people aren't going to blame you as much.

We've had two bad games against teams coming off of byes....its not an excuse, just a fact. I don't expect a good showing next week but the idea that the defense is the problem IMO...

the problem is the defense isn't saving our bacon and being elite. Its being very average to below average and we are not explosive enough on offense to over come the defense not giving us extra possessions.

Against a team that routinely gives up 50+. While being handed 14 points in the first half, or else they would have been held scoreless that half.

This.

Football games are won by the team with the most points. It's unreasonable to expect the defense to pitch scores in the twenties game after game. When the defense is struggling, the offense needs to pick up the slack. That didn't happen in the first half, and ISU got into a big hole. You can't have punt-interception-punt for 3 of your 5 first-half possessions against TT in the first half.

Why does he get a pass? His defense has been responsible for all of our losses this year. Today was an absolute disaster on D! I can’t wait to no longer see a 3 man front! Time to innovate!!
Mods, this guy is turning out to be a definite troll. Or someone who has no clue about ISU football. May need to give him a timeout.

I am enamored by our ability to drop 8 and still get burnt in coverage.
How much longer are we going to rely on the tent defense, allowing opposing teams the move the ball at will? Hint. It is not working. Teams are seeing that they can score 20 + yards out, from the non red zone, before ISU gets serious.

Honestly, it won’t surprise me at all if Iowa State goes into Norman and wins
Well, it wouldn't surprise me either. Not sure how the team will respond being basically out of contention for the CCG, though, especially with so many veterans almost assuredly returning because that was a major goal.

Hoping to see some fire out of the team, though.

With no pass rush against WV and TT it aloud their QB’s to pick us apart! Also with a 4th down lineman McDonald wouldn’t be triple teamed most of the games and have a lot more sacks! I feel sorry for that young man!
