If someone remembers to post it when it happens, I would like to call the Gene Chizik show and see if I can get on past the screeners. I'd love to ask Gene a couple questions. Much the same as I did when I called Jim Harbaugh in his office in the middle or our last coaching search.

-Only a select few met with coach for meeting because a lot of them are already out of town. It was a nice little meet and greet. very casual who's from where kinda stuff

-heard about chiz leaving through message boards and stuff and by official announcement felt betrayed

-thinks new hire is a great hire. Great character and leader of a coach

-Asked about players leaving:
doesn't think there's going to be buys leaving. The guys felt betrayed but they'll show up next semester to see what coach has to offer

-If he met chiz in an alley somewhere he would have a few words from him but not punch him in the face

-When asked if he's concerned with another D -coord taking over:
thinks coach wants to put together an offense that wants to score a lot of points

Seriously, get over it. By the time the first Chizik show is on, you ought to be more worried about what's happening on our football field and not Auburn's.

He said most of the players felt betrayed, but everyone has gotten over it and doesn't expect anyone to transfer.

I now realize you mean the screen name, I dunno, but you can view the posts even without a membership on the site. It's possible he just views and doesn't have an account.

That hire would be equally craptastic in my opinion.

Woodley's got some baggage, but knows the state + left to coach HS football in Houston....sounds like he has some quality Texas contacts in him.

I like it. Not sexy...but more upside than downside.

I'm not upset that the guy left, I would have too. I also don't give a squirt of **** about Auburn. I just like f'ing with people and trying to make them uncomfortable in public situations. It would be purely for comedy value and not out of spite.

Yeah I don't know how you can say Woodley would be a "craptastic" hire when we don't know what position he would be hired for. He WAS, after all, a coach during some of the best seasons in Iowa State History.

Maybe you're right. I would just assume that the first people you reach out to when beginning to assemble a staff would be guys for the top coordinators spots. If this is a guy being looked at for one of those gigs I think it's crap. If he's looking at him for video tech guy then I'm on board.
