-talked to coach mike at grandview about Iowa State football, kinda eluded in what capacity it was about

Find out when Chizik's first radio show is broadcast in Auburn and make sure the first caller is Diamond Dave, announcing that he's not behind Chizik at all.

Just a couple points of clarification:
- I don't think Rhoads has had a full meeting with all of the players yet, being that most of them are probably away for winter break. I think what he said was that he'd talked with (at least some of) them--probably on the phone--and that they're ready to go. Still a good sign.
- I don't think Rhoads talked with Chizik after being offered the position. I think he was talking about having met with him after Chizik first arrived in Auburn.
- And as you said, he talked with the Grand View coach and was illusive about exactly what they talked about. He did NOT say that he offered him a position as was said in another post.

If you study the inverse Diamond Dave support theory, this could be a very good sign.
For those that don't know, the HC at Grand View (that Rhoads talked to this week) is Mike Woodley, who was an assistant under McCarney from 1994-2003. His sons also played at Iowa State a few years back. Another guy with great roots in ISU football that would make a good assistant in some capacity, I am sure.
Agreed. I believe DD's largest percentage support (200%) came at the end of the season, just before Chizik's departure.
