Is A better than Z? Makes a difference. I'm always a numbers person, unsure if an A is hot or a Z. I'm thinking an A is hotter. If Z is hotter, I'd probably laugh at her and forget about her the best I could.
One thing I found interesting in regards to the JM information was that COVID has put the Big in deficit for games. Don’t know how these contracts work but could the Big offer to make up some of those games by adding KU ISU before this contract ends?
I'm laughing at the thought of Warren telling Fox that they have some make games now for them for their Covid shorting and saying it is Kansas.
Probably get more money just putting that My Pillow guy on FS1 for 3 and a half hours.

"Iowa State’s facilities are pretty much Big Ten worthy. They have the third largest football stadium in the Big 12 and had the 21st highest attendance average in 2019. You know who is at #20? Iowa. Iowa had the 7th highest attendance average among Big Ten schools. Which means Iowa State had a better home attendance average than Purdue, Indiana, Minnesota, Northwestern, Illinois, Maryland and Rutgers. Deace could have been the next Jim Rome but he took that sweet, sweet culture war money instead. It's a real shame.
I know he's struggled with alcoholism in the past too and finally seems to be truly in recovery and that's made him much more objective and level headed as well.
It’s an easy job just making **** up all day and having your “The Blaze” interns write fiction books with your name on it.
When he was younger, I used to think the alcoholism thing was a put on/bit to drum up sympathy or create an image of him as someone trying to be a good person whilst being a complete prick at the same time (like his former cohost and religion), but I think he's really a sincere human who has grown and changed, and maybe he was just early in his recovery and all of that before and has since addressed the underlying stuff.
i haven’t even thought of it from the context of attendance. I know that’s something a lot of administrators are really concerned about. Restoring geographic rivals would certainly help. ISU fans would travel well to most Big Ten West games.
Between Wannstedt, John Miller, this, the Big 12 being left out of alliance (and the deafening silence from the Big 12 offices about it), I now have enough optimism to get me through these next few months.
Ok here is what I"m not getting...ACC contract is horrid thru 2036.. Everyone says if they can add a team they get to redo the horrible contract. If that is the case then why haven't they added WV like yesterday?
I'd think if there is a clause in the GOR that allows the ACC to change its current deal by adding teams that they would be adding teams then..
From a "classic" (outdated? Wrong?) view a full stadium adds to the university
By that I mean the energy generated on game day is a tremendous marketing moment for a university. ISU games in '94 when you could take a nap didn't reflect well on the university.
It's a wrong thought that an empty stadium is a sign of a school lacking experiences for students or reflects the quality of the school....
But the new era of packed houses and top shelf game day experience makes ISU seem like a destination. People know Iowa State when I talk to them. A halo effect
If they add WV, ESPN will be happy to be one step closer to no B12, they will have that option. They also know that it won't happen until 2025 if they announce it since WV then become a disinterested party and their vote no longer counts and now you have 6 of 7 needed to kill the b12. So they have to be patient.

I think the issue is probably this. Until now, why would WVU have left the BIG 12? Even a renegotiated ACC media agreement probably wouldn't have added enough value for WVU to justify leaving. Their addition to the ACC may have caused an increase in value per team but probably only to the extent that it would match the current BIG 12. Even if it did match the Big 12 payout, WVU would have had to pay up based upon the GOR. They don't produce enough revenue (like OK or TX) to justify that action.
The ACC could have looked at adding Connecticut or CFU but there are certainly even bigger questions about the value of those schools too.
I'm somewhat curious with the number of atheltic programs we offer, if that could be potentially an issue. If I'm counting correctly, we offer 16 different programs between men and women. The school with the lowest number in the Big 10 is Northwestern with 18. Would they ask that we add programs? And if so, would we be receptive to the idea? It's hard to imagine the Big 10 bringing in a school that will instantly become the school with the least amount of programs offered. Just a thought I'd had for a week or so now.
