Always been a big Jon Miller fan. Guy is as dashing as he is brilliant.
I’ve always liked Jon Miller. He’s a Hawk but always seemed like a decent guy and fair for the most part.Always was better than the Deace-bag he used to work with.
"Iowa State’s facilities are pretty much Big Ten worthy. They have the third largest football stadium in the Big 12 and had the 21st highest attendance average in 2019. You know who is at #20? Iowa. Iowa had the 7th highest attendance average among Big Ten schools. Which means Iowa State had a better home attendance average than Purdue, Indiana, Minnesota, Northwestern, Illinois, Maryland and Rutgers. We all know how much of a snake pit Hilton Coliseum is for opposing teams in basketball and ISU’s wrestling program is on the rise…and the simple fact that they have one is a good thing. Also, Iowa State is a fantastic education institution and is a member of the AAU. It’s a geographic fit, a cultural fit and it just fits in my mind."
"In my opinion, and given the new area of television contracts I expect to see relative to streaming services entering the fray, the Big Ten adding Iowa State and Kansas, along with the Pac12 adding Oklahoma State and Kansas State"
Btw, anocronym wizzard, what's an msm terd anyway? It makes more sense to non-football msm terds that blow college coaches to earn the reward of giving handies to conference officials.

When all the racism stuff broke in ic, the guy at hr was the only one that tried to be honest. He got skewered over it.
Jon must be bulletproof now
Hum. Where there's smoke, maybe fire? Jon is a handsome guy. And the Hawkeyes maybe not so bad either. Cough, that was a little hard to say.Jon Miller has kind of done a 180 as a human over the last decade, and this kind of seals it. He was gleeful about ISU getting relegated in 2010.
Go listen to the podcast he did with Williams last year. Guy has really grown and it’s hard to not admire that.

Deace is super talented as a radio host. He’s opinionated and that’s part of what makes him so good, and I say that as someone who doesn’t align with him politically at all.
The Far CydeWhat is Trent Condon’s username on here? Would like to get his thoughts on this.
Is it possible he took a position on ISU to the BIG that would generate the most views and clicks?
That was an excellent podcsast and it was neat to see the growth and transformation Jon made. I like the guy, and enjoy his take on stuff sports or not.Jon Miller has kind of done a 180 as a human over the last decade, and this kind of seals it. He was gleeful about ISU getting relegated in 2010.

Well...rumors are rumors, of course. Could be total BS. But when you start accumulating Wannstedts and Miller's who DO have connections and are "hearing" common themes...at some point it starts to gather at least SOME credibility.
So if this happens.........do we go from being mad at UT and OU to sending them a thank you card? It could be a situation where we are dumped at a bar by a semi attractive beatch of a woman, but get sympathy from the smoking hot model who has decided to take a guy home that night.I have a good friend of mine who works for one of the top ACC schools. He is not in the athletics dept but is in a leadership position at the university and has some insight into some of the conversations that are happening...
I don't think anyone knows for sure what will happen... but his sources are saying very similar things. WVU is the current target for the ACC (this is new, he has told me for years that they were hoping to add tx & nd - which is not happening now. The idea was, once you add those two you reopen the contract and cash in. The ACC deal is getting worse and worse every year, they need to add someone, anyone to reopen it and get market value for the current teams. They are desperate and must add, WVU makes sense geographically and have natural rivals in pitt, vt, uva, etc.). So, ACC is going to add, but likely only one for now (they still *hope* to get ND at some point but clearly won't happen soon enough to keep up on TV money with the b10, sec). The scheduling will be 3 x 5 pods with each team playing 4 from their pod + 2 from each of the others.
However, for this to happen before 2025, other schools need to find a home... otherwise the GOR will keep the B12 together until 2025. He said he believes the B10 is likely to add ISU / Kan and the PAC will take some (not all) of the others). Once there are enough schools with life rafts, they can vote to dissolve the B12 and the GOR will be void allowing all the schools to leave...
I don't know how far along these talks are. I don't think he knows if this WILL happen or just conversations... But it is interesting that multiple reports are lining up on this.... He told me this weeks before Wannstedt made his comments.
I will wait for it to be official but some of the things he has said make sense. His comments were that geography and rivalries matter more this time around to the conferences and are being considered to:
1) Maintain ticket sales (attendance is becoming a concern for many schools)
2) Increase value of streaming content, drive subscription revenues in new tv models.
I am not counting on this until it happens... but I am a bit more optimistic. We will see..

Doesn't feel weird putting your key in a car knowing that ToE drove it first? Or were they always stuck in the friendzone? So if this happens.........do we go from being mad at UT and OU to sending them a thank you card? Reminds me of an old friend who was laid off, then found employment with another company and quickly became the CEO and a multi millionaire in the process. Hope this situation ends the same way.So if this happens.........do we go from being mad at UT and OU to sending them a thank you card? More the lackey who tags along and gets a cheap feel by brushing up against her in a crowded bar. Buys her drinks and gets nowhere is how I picture the Hawkeyes.Doesn't feel weird putting your key in a car knowing that ToE drove it first? Or were they always stuck in the friendzone?
It’s like the Luke Combs song When It Rains It Pours. Get broken up with and then get hit with a flurry of good luck.So if this happens.........do we go from being mad at UT and OU to sending them a thank you card?
