The problems at Nebraska and Tennessee run deeper than just the coaching hires. There are too many cooks in those kitchens. Administration matters, and that’s what makes ISU a better football job at the moment. How many football coaches/fans/pundits are wise enough to perceive that? Not many, but it doesn’t make it untrue.
Not everyone can be good in the SEC at once. Other schools like South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, and Auburn hired better coaches. Everything is still there for Tennessee to be a playoff team. They just need to hire a coach that's better than others in the confence.

Tough for me to say. From videos I've watched, he has nice speed and he continues to push.

I feel like we really are going to get an all time great with him. Don't know why Mizzou didn't get more involved especially with him living in StL for part of his life.
I think they'll regret it.
I’m guessing they focused on Gracial more because he’s an in-state talent whom we were recruiting hard as well.

Nebraska has no recruiting base. The things that made them great (and they WERE), no longer exist. They have been mediocre for long enough that the history matters very little. The big red is dead.

They’ve had top 15-20 recruiting classes the last few years. They still recruit well nationally and ISU/Iowa have the same small recruiting base but haven’t been able to recruit as well nationally. They’ve been better at player development though

They may have to cut ties with Frost sooner than later

Lewis Central cranking out quite a bit of D1 talent lately. You’d think they’d win more games. I can’t remember how they’ve done I guess but I do remember they played in the dome at least once when Duggar was there.
Obviously one or two guys doesn’t make a team but it is 3A Iowa High School football not Texas. Guys of this caliber can carry teams

Who's their biggest rival? Harlan?
Seems like LC usually has good years, just not closing it out in the end.

Hunter probably got a lot of eyeballs from scouts checking out Fidone.

Nebraska has had some high ranked classes, but they haven't produced results. One problem has been attrition. Many of the highest ranked recruits have jumped ship - especially ones from far away. Most of the guys they brought in from Florida have not been a good fit.

Another problem is that some of the high ranked guys have not been able to earn regular playing time. They either haven't developed, were never that good, or don't fit the system. They tend to go after star rankings even if many of the stars were awarded based on 7 on 7 competition as well as recruiting service camps. Many of these guys look better in shorts than they do in pads.

Nebraska is actually trying to change their approach to recruiting. Less emphasis on areas like Fla & Ca, more focus on the 500 mile radius. While it might help with retention, I don't see Nebraska being the choice of very many of the top players in the 500 mile radius. They might pick off a few in SDak & Wy, but their
Big 10 logo isn't going to help them in Big XII country. When they try to go east, they have a tough sell now not only against Iowa State, but also Mn, Wisky, IL, and even Ia if they keep finding ways to lose to KF.
