Hunter Deyo commits

Ok. I hate and never go over there, but I couldn’t help myself this morning. Some highlights:

current “headline” under football highlighting a class from 15 years

couple fun comments from the Deyo thread:

“Clowns must have a bagman. That's the only reason somebody would go to that sh*thole.”

“People say it’s no big deal to be last in the Big 10 in recruiting in July. Well it is a big deal because recruits don’t want to jump on a sinking ship and now ISU is on the rise. I don’t know how, but now we are losing re recruits to those sh*t bags so we must be in trouble.”

Bottom of the Big 10 and getting smoked by our douche bag little brothers to the West. Puke.”

“I will flat say it. Leave aside ISU who is kicking ass on the field and with a young coach. We have an older coach with a son nobody likes. This is the result. And it won’t get bettter. Period.”

It’s not just 3 recruits. It’s Arlen Harris, Micah Riley, Stokes, Imming, McLaughlin, Helm, Kendrell Williams, Skylar Bell, Ricky Parks, Jalon Peoples, Isaac Thompson, and now Hunter Deyo.”
This really has cut down on the troll posts. Who was the one that got off on reminding us we were on page 2 of the rankings? (Above 50)
Thanks for reminding me why I do not care for Iowa. I know all their fans are not bad, but holy cow that place (HR)! Every fan base has some outliers, bad apples so to speak but Iowa just seems like it has more than its fair share.

And again, comparing the two sites, CF and HR, I am thankful for what CF is and has become.

Btw, anyone know how long KF contract is at TOE?

I still get goosebumps reliving the moment that Spears picked off that last TCU pass to seal it in 2017. That place was bananas.

And compared to then, we're bat**** crazy now!
I managed to get tickets at the last moment for the OSU upset in 2011. I couldn’t believe Trice that night.

My gosh, I can’t believe it’s been ten years already. No wonder they picked OSU for Homecoming this year. Once upon a time, it would have been the KU game in a heartbeat.

2:26:47 to ride that high again.

*Another plug for sky cam only view option for all games some day. Give me the feeling of the atmosphere, great views to see why plays do or don't work, and not someone talking about SEC, B1G or Texas football for most of the game.

**Bailey's falling down in joy almost gets me all sorts of emotioned.

I could barely speak the rest of that weekend. What a game that was!

For me I always think about the Peavy red zone interception. I get chills thinking about him running down the field. We were all running with him.

That was pretty nice, a little 2017 FB in mid summer 2021!!

2017 was such a special year, big transformation, big wins, two of my all time Cyclone favorites, Marcel Spears and Joel Lanning, Lanning at LB and QB! Just awesome to see Lanning out there at Middle LB and then also playing QB. One of the best college FB stories of that year, or ever really.

That NEVER gets old. Never.

The Team Rankings are simply a combination of the number of recruits based on the individual player "score". It is possible for a team to have a high ranking simply because they landed a large number (20+) recruits with average scores (85.00). Take a look at the average (Avg) of the team to get a true reading of how a team is doing. In Iowa States case, right now the team average is 85.54 with 14 recruits...pretty good...in fact, pretty much the highest team average in his tenure at ISU. As for Clemson, yes, they are ranked behind ISU, but a closer look shows that their team average is 92.02, and their class is ranked 30th with only 8 recruits.

The team ranking also doesn't look at team "need". But, it does give a good general sense on how teams are with respect to other teams...you just have to dig a bit more into the metrics.

TLDR Version: team rankings dont mean **** until recruiting is done. Even then it can be skewed by one team having more recruits than another.

Holy ****. I might sit down and watch that whole thing sometime soon. I was a student manager for the team in 2017 and totally forgot about how awesome this day was. Everyone singing Sweet Caroline from that angle is epic too

The only thing that would have been better is if he had the all black uniform in his commit
I don't follow rankings much as I'm more in the 'see how they really do' camp, but Rutgers will likely see a bump at least for a few years with Schiano back.

There.goes the last team nebbie can beat consistently in the east…. I guess they don’t need to worry about their cross over schedule. All losses.
