I'll throw this out there. Deyo reminds me a lot of Linderbaum. Violent on the line of scrimmage and could play either side of the ball but Deyo is a better prospect coming out of high school

They won 11 games two years ago but I see your point. I think to be considered a better job than Nebraska or Tennessee, you’ll have to win a lot more games over a couple decades than a string of a few good seasons.

With those parameters, you also believe Nebraska is a much better job than Iowa, correct?

Iowa has had a decent run over the past 3-4 decades but the job isn’t not considered in the same class FSU or Tennessee when it comes to National perception. I think ISU/Iowa offer more job security at this point though.

$$$$, support from the administration, fan support, recruiting base, tradition, and facilities. We aren't a huge money athletic department like those schools.

Nebraska doesn't even want to play OU anymore and ISU wants to play them twice this year.

They still have a blank check for whatever the football team needs. ISU can't do that. They suck because they have hired horrible coaches. They have as good of facilities as you'll find anywhere. They have endless resources.

The problems at Nebraska and Tennessee run deeper than just the coaching hires. There are too many cooks in those kitchens. Administration matters, and that’s what makes ISU a better football job at the moment. How many football coaches/fans/pundits are wise enough to perceive that? Not many, but it doesn’t make it untrue.

Nebraska has no recruiting base. The things that made them great (and they WERE), no longer exist. They have been mediocre for long enough that the history matters very little. The big red is dead.

I was actually thinking he reminded me of Nick Leaders’ intensity.

Then I realized how long ago that was, and now I’m depressed and feel old.

Tough for me to say. From videos I've watched, he has nice speed and he continues to push.

I feel like we really are going to get an all time great with him. Don't know why Mizzou didn't get more involved especially with him living in StL for part of his life.
I think they'll regret it.

Big Cigar boosters at those schools influence the program, way more than they should.
