I think Brian made a mistake and has a sense of entitlement and needed to be taken down a peg. I think Doyle went overboard with his demeanor and remarks.

I honestly do not think I am lying. It was said he asked the team if he needed to leave and they wanted him to stay.
I’m not saying you’re lying. I remember Kirk saying that because I watched those press conferences. I also remember Kirk saying in one of the first press conferences that he’d never heard of these sorts of issues before so I apologize for not taking everything he says at face value.
Unfortunately, they had their best offense they have had in years with a subpar QB.

Are they current players? Maybe he asked the leadership team instead of the whole team?
So he needed to get knocked down a peg by the head coach and the head coach did nothing and gave him a raise instead? Talk about change!
Be a huge shame if his Maine years is what keeps him out of the College Football HOF.
