All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

If we throw out 2020 and look at the last fiscal year recorded (18-19) ISU ended up 2 mil in the black and Iowa was one of those school you mentioned that lose money on athletics. You are impressively misinformed.

You'd have to look at the details more. I presume in many years a lot of revenue generating schools such as Iowa "lose" money y/y due to expenditures, mainly related to facilities. That does not mean the department is regularly in the red. I will let you research it, but my guess is the year you cited relates to the new endzone project, which I am sure was not inexpensive.

How so? What is untrue?
Well for one, your first point on CMC just flat out doesn’t make sense. You say you want loyalty in a HC, but apparently CMC turning down high paying NFL gigs and some big time universities isn’t loyal enough for you. Essentially what you’re saying is you think CMC is too good for us, which again proves my point of the superiority complex comment.

The fact that you’d take Fran over most other coaches at this point in time just tells me that you either don’t care about Iowa Basketball, or you actually think he’s doing a great job. Either way, I’d probably take a shot on just about any other coach. A fresh start is MUCH needed but likely won’t come until after Fran’s 3rd son gets a shot at playing D1. Third times the charm right?

Okay, so lastly is where it truly takes the cake lol. Gary Barta is probably the scummiest AD in P5 at the moment. Certainly up there if he’s not the absolute worst. He’s incredibly sexist, and he treats the fanbase like a bunch of idiots (but I guess if the shoe fits). You already were called out on being wrong about ISU being self sufficient. You also mention Jamie could probably do better at an upper tier school with better resources..? Does Iowa not fit in that category? Lol I guess not. Jamie also is expanding ISU exponentially and hired CMC who will have us in the top 10 for the second straight season. Who wouldn’t want that right?

Which, if that is included, then the donations for that are also. Which would mean that there is not a 56 MM gap between Iowa and ISU.

These are things I would never think about on my own, but my answer would be no on all since you raised it. Maybe MC only because he is younger, but I am a loyalty guy so I would still pass. Iowa also wants long term coaches and I don't see that being the situation with MC.

TJ? Unproven, zero track record at P5 and there was a lot of complaining with that hire so absolutely not.

GarBar/JP--not really seeing the benefit of the change. I certainly would not call myself a GarBar fan, but the Iowa Ath Dept. has been winning a lot more than ISU and is self sufficient so I am not sure why the change would be needed. Jamie might be able to do better at an upper tier school with better resources. Jamie is also whiner and has a chip on his shoulder, which I don't find appealing. Again, maybe that is attributable to being a tier below the other in state major school.
Lol oh my God

This could quite honestly be the dumbest thing I’ve read on this website. This entire post is a terrific example of what a superiority complex looks like, which coincidentally plagues a large proportion of Iowa’s fanbase.
Guessing you didn’t mean to mark this dumb twins? Lol

With that much more talent, Campbell being a better coach than KF, and Iowa having four terrible coaches there is no way this game should even be close. Iowa's QB is terrible, their RB would be third string at ISU, Iowa's TE room has 1 TD, and their WR's are bad. Twins what do you think, Clones by 20?

If it was a normal game I don't see how it is within 2-3 scores. That being said it's Iowa's Super Bowl so anything can happen. I pretty much always predict Iowa to win given the emphasis they put on the game but with the talent gap this year I can't find any way they come out on top
