All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Let's see where the two schools stand now and tell me which one is big bro

School A)
One of the best football coaches in the country
New basketball coach who is exceeding roster management expectations
No contraversies
Fans like all coaches and players

School B)
Racist and greedy football coach
4 football assistants who suck
Basketball coach who is not liked by own fans
A fan tried to have a rival fan killed
One of the best basketball players in school history is hated by his own fanbase

Lame. You can do better.

You would switch Kirk/Fran/Barta for Campbell/TJ/Pollard in a heartbeat and you know it

These are things I would never think about on my own, but my answer would be no on all since you raised it. Maybe MC only because he is younger, but I am a loyalty guy so I would still pass. Iowa also wants long term coaches and I don't see that being the situation with MC.

TJ? Unproven, zero track record at P5 and there was a lot of complaining with that hire so absolutely not.

GarBar/JP--not really seeing the benefit of the change. I certainly would not call myself a GarBar fan, but the Iowa Ath Dept. has been winning a lot more than ISU and is self sufficient so I am not sure why the change would be needed. Jamie might be able to do better at an upper tier school with better resources. Jamie is also whiner and has a chip on his shoulder, which I don't find appealing. Again, maybe that is attributable to being a tier below the other in state major school.

The self sufficient statement......:not understanding the point of that addition

Iowa's AD does not use university funds, regularly is in top 20 nationally in revenue generated. Maybe ISU is as well and that is great if so. Most schools lose money on athletics.

Throw out last year b/c that is an outlier for everyone.

ISU had been self sufficient for nearly the whole time JP has been our AD. May want to learn a little if you want to compare. Adding uninformed comments that haven’t been true for a decade plus makes the rest of your claims seem like they very well can be wrong also.

This could quite honestly be the dumbest thing I’ve read on this website. This entire post is a terrific example of what a superiority complex looks like, which coincidentally plagues a large proportion of Iowa’s fanbase.

Ya, studying university AD finances is not something I really devote time too unless I come across it while reading. That is why I said I did not know and that is great if true. Point being, its not an upgrade. Of course, it also appears Iowa is bringing in $56 million more annually as well. So, that is not peanuts.

How so? What is untrue?

If we throw out 2020 and look at the last fiscal year recorded (18-19) ISU ended up 2 mil in the black and Iowa was one of those school you mentioned that lose money on athletics. You are impressively misinformed.
