Old Mediocre Has-Been Desperate To Appear Relevant; aka JBo To Return

I think him and Rebraca with a quick, and hope to god, under control Toussaint will be really fun to watch develop. Iowa will be different next year. Toussaint was much better towards the end of the year. I also think Kris and Patrick will be fun to watch develop too.

Honest question, Joe T is going to be a junior, why do Iowa fans keep thinking he's going to develop. Players tend to take their biggest jump between their freshman and sophomore year. Iowa fans have set the bar way too high for that kid.

Minnesota was rated 50 spots above Iowa in defensive efficiency. Imagine the difference a guy like him would have made for you guys last year.
Robbins had just as much if not more to do with that than Kalscheur. So we tried. Kalscheur is a decent defender not a team elevating defender.

Honest question, do you think transfers get better from their sophomore to their JR years?

Yeah sorry but lightening isn't striking that many times in a row for Fran.
I am not saying they will be all big ten like Luka, Uthoff, Marble, White, or develop like 6th man of the year Baer, or develop into a Clemmons type starter. I am saying they can be adequate and good players.

I mean that's a pretty fair assumption...

In 2019, Minnesota’s defense was 63 spots higher than Iowa’s. In 2020, Minnesota’s defense was 56 spots higher than Iowa’s. Liam wasn’t on either of those teams. Gabe was.

Kalschuer's offensive and defensive ratings have both regressed since his Freshman season. His defense not as much as the O but still down. He's not a liability on D (Hawks have several of those) but he's not a defensive stopper either.

His sophomore year he was considered a defensive stopper. Last year he was bad overall.

The Hlas story in The Gazette was ridiculous, don't believe a word of it.

Yeah none of that story is true about having to beg him to come back lol. He was never not leaving. Kind of feel for Toussaint if he buys this, I think this will end poorly for him and I'll believe it when I see it on Connor getting benched.

Toussaint is probably a better fit at an east coast A10 school though anyways.

Ulis was a higher 3 star but his 2nd best offer was DePaul. Joe T was not a high 3 star and was ranked 293rd in his class. His next best offer was Wichita State.

Neither of those guys were big recruits dude.
Right, recruited as fringe or even lower level power-conference talents with a hope and a prayer that they can develop into being that after a couple years.

LOL if the ceiling is Clemmons level starter, then Iowa is not going to be winning very many games the next couple years
