Meh. A lot of Iowa Assist and A/TO are super inflated due to having a Garza to toss the ball to on the block. And Minnesota has been not good the last several year. Generally A/TO and Assist Totals go pretty much hand in hand with how good you are as a team. Minny has just been bad.

No that’s not what I said lol. Look at their percentages side by side and tell me what looks off. You guessed it. It was last year’s overall shooting performance and specifically, 3 point shooting.
If Gabe plays and shoots like he did last year, then he’s not going be playing or starting very long for us. I’m putting my $$ on Gabe playing / shooting like he did his sophomore year, which would certainly put him above Jordan as being a better overall basketball player.
All I am saying for as much crap as he gets here, deserved or not, it is not like ISU has better options than him on their roster. You can literally switch him in and out of the lineup at ISU and it would not change much.
Here is where we will both 100% agree and I’ve mentioned this multiple times regarding Jordon. He would be a perfect 12-15 minutes off the bench firecracker for a team. The role he’s in right now is too much for him. I’ll believe he’s taking reduced minutes when it actually happens.
I’m not arguing the rest because I, nor Jesus Christ himself, is going to be able to convince an Iowa fan that one of their players isn’t as good as they believe they are. We’ve tried it with Connor, we’ve tried it with Jordan, it just ain’t gonna happen.
I know you are good with it, and my allegiance here is trying to convince myself this is going to be a good thing for Iowa. so far, with the articles and zoom interviews, this is something that seems like a good thing. Why not want someone that is willing to give up his PG spot to JT and or Ulis? He will split with Murray/Perkins at the 2. I am fine with that.
If that actually happens I think it’ll be a net positive. And I’m sorry I don’t think Murray is a 2.
His dad thinks KRIS will be a 2. I am not sure about that, but I also did not think Keegan was going to be as good as he was either.
Keegan was fun to watch. We’ll have to see how he does in stepping into a bigger role.
I think him and Rebraca with a quick, and hope to god, under control Toussaint will be really fun to watch develop. Iowa will be different next year. Toussaint was much better towards the end of the year. I also think Kris and Patrick will be fun to watch develop too.
Minnesota was rated 50 spots above Iowa in defensive efficiency. Imagine the difference a guy like him would have made for you guys last year.
Yeah it’ll sure be interesting to see how and if those guys end up developing. None of them were highly rated or had great offers, so we'll see if they end up being Big 10 caliber by the time they’re done. (Excluding Patrick)
Ulis and Toussaint we high 3* guys, the Murrays were a huge ?
Ulis was a higher 3 star but his 2nd best offer was DePaul. Joe T was not a high 3 star and was ranked 293rd in his class. His next best offer was Wichita State.
Neither of those guys were big recruits dude.
